Ice Cream Skies Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Marina is absolute trash after FROOT. Everyone knows. It’s been 7 years, hang it up. Rina has been consistently great, Hold the Girl included… y’all are so dramatic.
despy Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 hold on- cause not me liking this and honestly more than sawayama i didn't expect to enjoy this after "this hell" completely killed the hype for me and made me skip the other pre-releases. the title track, this hell & frankenstein are my least faves atm. this hell is still a hot mess. your age, imagining & elton john though all the other tracks are nice. i love "minor feelings" too.

willmcclure9 Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 The absolute dramatics in this thread…. Never change gays
AnonnonA Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 (edited) The pop melodies on this album are top-tier - hook after hook that stays firmly lodged in my head after only 1-2 listens But in terms of the album as a whole (production, lyrics, melodies etc), i think SAWAYAMA > HTG. Still a very good follow-up though Edited September 11, 2022 by AnonnonA

MonsterJohn Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 I will hold out for the official release but all of the singles so far are absolute abomination so don't expect much for this
Communion Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) Do we have descriptions yet of Flavour of the Month? Did the people who got their hands on the album early have that? I don't think I've seen any descriptions of it from around that time. It's interesting that, based on its registration number, it (and Forgiveness!) was originally recorded for SAWAYAMA. Idk why she changed so much from SAWAYAMA Plz SAWAYAMA is one of the loudest albums I can think of - and super over-compressed (IMO). Plus, you are delusional if you equate it with 'constraint' Anyway, Hurricanes out today?

ICEY Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 some cute moments but as a whole it sounds very derivative.. lol dont come for me but its low key devoid of identity compared to her other projects
Shoful Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 I think I like this album more than SAWAYAMA tbh. I need to listen more on Friday, but the bops on this HIT HARD AF

My interpretation is she has been running outside in the storm/ hurricane (probably some ordeals?) for a long time and is searching for that one person who is willing to open their door for her to seek shelter (ie someone to love and care for her)
