Looks like This Hell remains the only single I've connected with from this era from Rina thus far

Idk what elevator you're on, but I think you should be more concerned with that lifeless girl from your pic.

Sky has a successful career as a cashier at her local grocery store, I don't need to worry about her dropping an album of elevator music / Disney post-credit scene rejects from 2011 like Rina is about to.

she's 4/4 with me. Sure its lacking some edge from her debut but it's far for mediocre yall

You could have stopped after "album" ... although, still worry about her dropping an one, despite all common sense

I'm really sad none of the songs have been clicking like her last album... It feels like Sia could sing Phantom.

We’ll see if she has time to record *a song* between her shifts, but at least her demos are better than every song on this album so far :coffee2:

I also love Rina, but I think she listened to  Xtina’s excellent song, Reflection, from the Mulan soundtrack a bit too much while recording this album.

Phantom is incredibly beautiful and epic. Her voice sounds more outstanding than ever.

So far: Catch Me In The Air > Phantom > Hold The Girl > This Hell

I still don't get those who come to the thread to complain about the same things over and over. I mean, this album is far more melodic than her previous one. Is there anything wrong about that? It is not like Sawayama was a Björk album or something. Anyway, this album will top my ranking of favorite albums of the year for sure.

I don’t understand the hate for Phantom, is literally her best ballad, so epic!

All this drama when Phantom is a fantastic song. :deadbanana4:

For me, so far:

So far: Hold The Girl > Phantom > This Hell > Catch Me In The Air

I actually didn't like HTG as much as This Hell but lately it's HITTING so hard for me :wanda:it's so great.

What I HATE is that any of these songs could easily be on SAWAYAMA and she did that because people on the internet were telling her that that album was a “cultural reset!!1!1” and now everyone is switching on her. And don’t get me wrong, SAWAYAMA is a really good album (not great) and HTG is 4/4 for me; but I hate people acting like she changed or something. :deadbanana:

HTG > TH > Phantom > CMITA

hold the girl is the only song i think is truly amazing, but all are good. this hell has bad lyrics but such great melodies and production, a bawp

the switch up this era is so odd to me, the lyrical quality is the same as sawayama, this album just doesn't have any bleep bloops or pots and pans so gays r mad

Sometimes, I get down with guilt
For the promises I've broken to my younger self
Moving on, maybe l never will
'Cause I left you spinning on the carousel

I don’t fully understand why ppl are turning their backs on her rn. It isn’t like her music is super experimental avant-garde or whatever bc she’s been making pop music since the beginning of the career. She’s still delivering the same intensity & emotions that could be found on SAWAYAMA as well. I bet the gays will switch once the album gets acclaimed :coffee2:

The fact all of you are saying the level and quality is the same…

none of them even come close to XS? That song was bold and refreshing and catchy and a hit.

these new songs can’t relate

There’s already tea of an even better XS existing in the album, maybe appreciate the quality she’s delivering (still super good and catchy songs) and wait for the album to experience all she got this era…

This is def her worst project and as such it's easy to compare it to RINA or SAWAYAMA ... but it's still good on its own and the gays are doing a little much on her. I def have my criticisms of it that prevent me from calling it fantastic, BUT it's still quite good, high-quality and totally evokes feeling.

I wasn't around pre-SAWAYAMA and didn't experience people switching once the full thing + reviews were out... but I wonder if the same will happen here.

Phantom is quite mediocre. I need her to release more bops, hopefully Holy, the house track, gives us that

I remember very similar worries about SAWAYAMA when she was dropping singles and some people were afraid that her debut was going to be pretty bad, but once it dropped everything fell into places everyone was screaming ACLAIM and praising the album...

Phantom, Hold The Girl and This Hell are amazing tracks that could've easily fit on Sawayama, what is everyone in this thread on :rip:
