As they should. They have no responsibility to cater to their employees personal opinions about their content. Employment is a 2 way street. If you don’t like it then quit.

When that company makes a lot of money off the demographic it hurt I do think there is a moral obligation. Netflix has a plethora of queer content and was even founded on it with Orange Is the New Black, so why should they support someone who has verbally attacked a community that they profit from? Not only does it not make sense from a business standpoint, but it doesn't make sense from a moral one either. It's not hard to be a good person who doesn't rely on making fun of one of the most at risk communities out there :toofunny2:

Good. People working at Netflix will have no problem finding work. The fact that they are staying shows they have no actual principles. If they truly believe this content was "dangerous", they would have found employment elsewhere by now.

That's not how that works. Netflix hires a lot of entry level workers who need steady income especially if they are living in LA. You make it sound like getting a job in entertainment is easy so clearly you aren't very well versed in development, pre-production, production, and post-production opportunities :rip:

I mean what else are they supposed to do

They kind of made points :rip: the tech world is brimming with jobs. Maybe not as lucrative as Netflix, but they knew they were working for a multi-National tech company, not UNICEF.

As far as getting a job, I was coming from the perspective of a tech company. Some may be in Netflix's entertainment division so that's fair (and I have experience in both fields), but either way, they can easily find another job if they are truly that distraught. Also....."verbally attacked"? Really? C'mon, he's a comedian that has and always will made of of everyone. That's the whole point of comedy. Back when people used to freak out about how they didn't like seeing a gay couple on some TV show, we told them to change the channel and get over it. The woke crowd needs to start taking their own advice.

Netflix has the most diverse content out there, and they are still the king of streaming :clap3:

I get that, it's one thing to make fun of people and another to be discriminatory. Nicki Glaser is a perfect example, she made some of the most hilarious comments about  a trans woman without causing offense. It's not hard to not be transphobic, there's a difference between comedy and prejudice. I also said that if a company is profiting off that demographic, I believe they have a moral responsibility to reject hatred against that community. I don't think morally it's okay to ask your queer audiences, queer workers, and queer creators who have worked at a network that gained notoriety predominantly because of its queer programming to just get up and leave because that company won't acknowledge hurtful speech. It's hypocritical.

It might sound like I'm up and arms but I promise I'm not, this is just kind of where I'm at on the situation. For Netflix to be a champion of queer artists to then tell those people to leave because they had to endure transphobic comments just doesn't sit right with me.

I mean I agree but at the end of the day Netflix will not be profitable by ONLY catering to one group. I personally just don’t understand the outrage with stuff like this.

i don’t like comedians as they’re always basing their comedy on making fun of other people, being racist xenophobic, etc.

But what I choose to do is just not watch it. I don’t understand why people can’t just ignore something. Everytime people make a fuss it only makes it more popular in the end. Stop trying to give billion dollar companies ultimatums. Far left are big online but do not actually represent the public.
