BOOM! Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Why is Poland kinda giving: This year?? Especially after seeing her live performance, like... gurl...
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted February 27, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted February 27, 2023 It really feels like a race between Loreen and Kaarija at the moment In a day, Loreen has almost 900k views on her melfest performance, and Kaarija has his performance uploaded on both the UMK and Eurovision channels with around 500k views for each. So exciting for both entries
igninton Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Look I love Kaarija but there's no way he's going Top 3 based on the televote alone and I really don't see the juries pushing it at all as it sounds like a parody at times. He'll still finish within the Top 5, but a win is a reach and a half.
Apostolis Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Kaarija will score big but I still don't see him winning
bjorn Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 (edited) Odds for Loreen winning increased from 25% to 29% https://eurovisionworld.com/odds/eurovision edit: She hasn't even wone Melfest finals yet Edited February 27, 2023 by bjorn

Idk, maybe they removed broomsticks from their asses in the last 5 years and don't hate fun anymore.

nathanspears Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 The absolute kii if Loreen somehow doesn't win Melfest and then the Eurovision odds tumble

Tbh the juries pushing Spain so much last year was a surprise to most, not like she didn't deserve it but we just had never really seen the jury vote push a "mainstream" act so hard before so you never know. I think the juries have opened their minds and anything can happen but yeah CCC just sounds still a bit too experimental for your average jury, me thinks. Edited February 27, 2023 by igninton
Funhouse Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 I kind of feel like the rest of this Eurovision season will consist of the fandom coming up with reasons why Loreen won't win (too generic/too safe/not Eurphoria/overrated because Sweden/pop music bad) only for her to still take it in the end. It kind of gives Arcade that way, a clear potential winner but some people will just refuse to see it.

The 2012 comparisons will be present in both the voters and juries minds that night. Some will see that she's a worthy winner again and some will simply just prefer 'Euphoria' and will not give 'Tattoo' another chance thinking to themselves "I much preferred Euphoria". Returning to Eurovision a second time after winning the first time (and what a winner... objectively the most iconic Eurovision song in recent years and also the one that lighted up the Eurovision hype again during the internet era) can be a double-edged sword. I know she and her team know this. Edited February 27, 2023 by igninton
abelfenty Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Cha Cha Cha is a potential televote winner but I’m not sure about it overall. Jury will probably place it in the lower half of the top 10
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted February 27, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted February 27, 2023 I keep thinking of last year’s contest Cha Cha Cha is like Stefania. Huge televote potential (obviously not as much as last year) that could help compensate for not as much jury votes. Tattoo is like SloMo. A very well crafted pop number and a balanced entry that will be received well by both juries and televote equally. I do understand that Kaarija is more likely to be the Go_A or Konstrakta of this contest but there isn’t a lot of competition at the top this year unlike the last few.
Solaria Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 It doesn’t matter for Loreen or Kaarija because Noa Godel will cakewalk them both
Funhouse Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 This is a HIT actually Where did you go where did you go where did you go where did you go
worldstarmayo Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 anyone know when tickets are released? I literally live in the host city lol

The writers' camps better be cooking for her next year
Funhouse Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Not Tattoo out-streaming the already selected songs (711,272 on Feb. 26 alone)
mellenthin Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Ukraine stands no chance with that song Stefania remains a hundred times more superior.

nasa Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Fiinka or Jerry would be giving Ukraine a top 5 so easily

Ukraine was going to win last year no matter what. So much pity votes. And they will get pity votes this year too, but less.
