I'm from Sweden, and I love Loreen. I've always loved her and thought she has an amazing voice and talent.

However, I literally cannot stand all the struggle vocals in this performance :deadbanana4: My TikTok feed is literally 70% Loreen performance clips with people saying that she came to save Sweden once again, but the vocals in every single clip is so not good :deadbanana4:  Am I going crazy or are people just blinded by the fact that it's Loreen??????

You’re going crazy I fear since she sounds heavenly x

J.Lo should be in talks to perform as the Eurovision 2023 interval act. She raised a lot of money for Ukraine in 2022 with UNICEF and would be a great fit. She also has new music and an album + unannounced European summer tour coming up. As for global stars we’ve only had Justin Timberlake and Madonna as interval acts, no?

oh god please no. no big artists anymore. if so then UK artists should be invited or Ukrainian. No j.lo, she has nothing to do with esc, JT and madonna were terrible and out of place

But that was just the first live performance. Let's see her singing it more time. Chill with the dramatics!!

She only cracked in the first chorus.

I actually kinda changed my mind after listening to this performance again earlier. The TikToks are not doing it justice when they all include the worst parts :deadbanana4:  I think I had the rehearsal sneak-peaks in my mind as well which honestly were a mess!

Loreen queen again. :clap3:

I think her voice peaked in 2017 :jonny4:

Godly belting here

Honestly still can't believe we didn't send Statements. It effortlessly tops Euphoria for me.

Her best live vocals. :clap3:

It really feels like a race between Loreen and Kaarija at the moment

In a day, Loreen has almost 900k views on her melfest performance, and Kaarija has his performance uploaded on both the UMK and Eurovision channels with around 500k views for each.

So exciting for both entries :jonny:

Look I love Kaarija but there's no way he's going Top 3 based on the televote alone and I really don't see the juries pushing it at all as it sounds like a parody at times. He'll still finish within the Top 5, but a win is a reach and a half. :giraffe:

Kaarija will score big but I still don't see him winning

I can see that, juries robbed Spirit In The Sky which was much more conventional than CCC. Idk, maybe they removed broomsticks from their asses in the last 5 years and don't hate fun anymore.

sadly Kaarija is chanceless because those old hags juries are going to tank it HARD

I'm 100% sure it will be a televote winner or at least in top 3 televote though

The absolute kii if Loreen somehow doesn't win Melfest and then the Eurovision odds tumble :)

Tbh the juries pushing Spain so much last year was a surprise to most, not like she didn't deserve it but we just had never really seen the jury vote push a "mainstream" act so hard before so you never know.

I think the juries have opened their minds and anything can happen but yeah CCC just sounds still a bit too experimental for your average jury, me thinks. :giraffe:

I kind of feel like the rest of this Eurovision season will consist of the fandom coming up with reasons why Loreen won't win (too generic/too safe/not Eurphoria/overrated because Sweden/pop music bad) only for her to still take it in the end. It kind of gives Arcade that way, a clear potential winner but some people will just refuse to see it.

I don't think it's a landslide win for her as of yet. The 2012 comparisons will be present in both the voters and juries minds that night. Some will see that she's a worthy winner again and some will simply just prefer 'Euphoria' and will not give 'Tattoo' another chance thinking to themselves "I much preferred Euphoria".

Returning to Eurovision a second time after winning the first time (and what a winner... objectively the most iconic Eurovision song in recent years and also the one that lighted up the Eurovision hype again during the internet era) can be a double-edged sword. I know she and her team know this.

Cha Cha Cha is a potential televote winner but I’m not sure about it overall. Jury will probably place it in the lower half of the top 10 :ducky:

I keep thinking of last year’s contest

Cha Cha Cha is like Stefania.  Huge televote potential (obviously not as much as last year) that could help compensate for not as much jury votes.

Tattoo is like SloMo.  A very well crafted pop number and a balanced entry that will be received well by both juries and televote equally.

I do understand that Kaarija is more likely to be the Go_A or Konstrakta of this contest but there isn’t a lot of competition at the top this year unlike the last few.

It doesn’t matter for Loreen or Kaarija because Noa Godel will cakewalk them both
