I love Loreen, and Tattoo was my favorite song in the contest. I wanted her to win, and now I kinda regret she even bothered to compete again. Euphoria is one of the best songs ever, and now her eurovision legend legacy feels tarnished by this fiasco.

She just made Eurovision history. Ignore the haters. She’s my favourite too and Euphoria will always be the best Eurovision winner song.

But ESC is bigger than ever now, lol. If you're talking about Netta, I think that song slaps. And Little Big from Russia would have won in 2020 if the event was held. If people wanna see something fun at ESC then so be it. And I don't want jury to be abolished either, but maybe make it count for 25% of the final results.

this is how things work sometimes. I'm sure there are people being reasonable and disagreeing with the results, but the "backlash" of "angry millions" and "Loreen becoming a villain" narrative is so unhinged and limited to a few thousand bad-faith, sore losers.

It's no good pretending there isn't an unreasonable backlash when every post about Loreen's win is full of hateful comments about her. This didn't happen to Duncan Lawrence from what i recall who didn't win the televote or the juries, he came second in both. Several winners didn't win the televote. Again I get that it's disappointing when an act gets a landslide of public votes and doesn't win but these rules aren't new. Everyone knew how it worked, that's part of why Loreen was the favourite and everyone thought she was going to win because she was obviously going to do well with the juries and with the public.

Netta literally was the winner the year Eleni came 2nd with Fuego, which people still regularly argue about TO THIS DAY. Ukraine got dragged last year too. Jamala got mostly slaughtered from Russia  Also like numerous people have said previously, most of the 'hate' is coming from the GENERAL PUBLIC. Sweden is getting dragged across numerous social media outside the ESC stan bubble omds

As someone who was lashing Netta when she won. I can only speak for myself but it had nothing to do with gender and everything to do with her being Israeli. That said I do agree that these artists get backlash because they are women, this year however is particularly amplified because the runner up is a man (compared to Dami, Eleni) so obviously everyone is going to come out of the woodwork to piss on Loreen's leg to make Kaarija smell better
