i feel like they want to do well so badly but this year's entry was tragic and low key tasteless with that swiss guy singing about not wanting to go to war when he's SWISS and never will have to go to war while there is an actual attack on another contestant's country

if the bbc wants to pick established acts they need to do that when they're hot and not like bonnie tyler, decades later.

sam ryder was just getting started and already had a massive tik tok fanbase, that was a good selection (+ they need to make sure that the people they choose are charismatic and can translate the song on stage, mae's song was a bop but it just fell flat last night).
