Everyone will forget about it in a week though so it doesn't really matter. It was obvious this would happen but an almost 200 points jury lead is a bit ridiculous. And why was Israel so high The Spotify number spamming is so lame though I mean as someone already said why even hold the competition, just give the trophy to Sweden every year then Yeah, streams really aren't reflective of what song is the best or who Europe wants to win or else 20th place Armenia last year would have won

Konril Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 The way I was disappointed with Due Vite at first but I've turned a 180 on it and love it now. Italy never misses for me.

Obviously some of the Finland stans are doing too much. I really need them to calm down too because nobody wants to be the Chanel stans of 2023. There are plenty of reasons to be happy with Finland's result even without the win and people can celebrate those without bringing Loreen down or trying to not accept her victory, which was completely deserved with how the rules are right now. I also think some Loreen stans are not handling that another country is receiving the overwhelming public support and not their fave. Sweden has had issues with the televote for years, and even with Loreen placing 2nd there her not receiving a single 12 points is pretty telling that those issues might have been masked this year but are still there. Anyway, an iconic top 2 and I'm sure they'll be revered the same way the top 2 in 2018 are, with Netta and Eleni both loved by the fandom and both being involved with future Eurovisions for years to come. Amazingly said Everyone knew for months that the top 2 was going to be Sweden and Finland. Loreen is a fantastic artist who in my opinion has better showings than what "Tattoo" is. Tattoo is in my top 3 but I do have some criticism of it being a bit too formulatic and rhyming pain with rain always me cringe but I know that's more of the Melodifestivalen writers, not her. However the staging is breathtaking and well thought out. I loved watching Loreen coming in and take a motherly role and insight after 11 years. She was super supportive of the contestants. When I first watched Cha Cha Cha at UMK I was in shock at how crazy and cool it was and he had my support from then onwards. The song actually ticks all the boxes for me, the industrial metal reminds me of my edgy teenage years and the hyperpop ending is now in lines with my music taste as an adult. The performance is pure chaos which is a nice difference compared to Sweden's usual packages that are prestine and perfect. Some of the Finland supporters are doing a bit much, it's fine to criticise the jury system/weighting but leave Loreen out of it. She ticked all of the Jury tickboxes as they currently are and Kaarija ticked all the televote boxes. Also not everything is down to apple music/spotify streaming numbers as obviously a song like Tattoo is going to be streamed more than a song like Cha Cha Cha that's a clusterfuck of 3 genres. An iconic top 2 that will stand the test of time.

DUA LIPA Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 italy served one of the better ballads this year i don't get why people don't understand why it received good televote and jury results

If she was really high during the whole thing I do think it's distasteful
vale9001 Posted May 14, 2023 Posted May 14, 2023 After Mengoni Sanremo win i was like "God this time we're gonna be in the half", cause is such a bland ballad. Then i have listened all the competitors in the final and i was "ok top 5 it's coming"... i always forget how tragic is the music in this competition

It shouldn’t win because it has streams. It should win because people like it and it was able to capture people’s attention which can be shown in streams at the moment.
