I get why people are upset, but Sweden won by the rules set by the competition? Like if you don't approve by the rules, don't participate and use your money if you're not gonna accept the winner who is crowned based on the rules set for the competition.

It's so sad to see all these people bashing Loreen, just because their favourite didn't win.

Really disappointed in the humanity of people.

This "Sweden came second in the vote!" argument is really bad when you think of the voting system.

For all we know Finland got 98% of the total public vote, Sweden 1% and the rest shared 1%. Very unlikely, obviously, but it doesn't matter how big a landslide someone gets in the public vote, they can only get 2 extra points than the 2nd place.

So, yeah, Sweden came 2nd, but how far behind was that 2nd place? Maybe that's why there's so many angry people, huh?

Anyway, we all know Austria, France and Norway are the real top 3 and everyone needs to get some taste.

??? didn't they reveal the number of points yesterday?

It's not that Tattoo was the absolute masterpiece but everything else was a wreck that made Tattoo shine even more. She simply left no other option to the juries.

there were other options the juries just always pander back to radio fudder scandi pop :dies:

the most unrealistic part about the jury ranking is the huge gap between sweden and the rest.

We = The ESC bubble  :giraffe:

But seriously, I get your point. I just don't agree with it.

Tattoo has 60 mill spotify streams already. Too much for being an ESC bubble favorite.

No. Sorry. It was one of those years that the jury vote was totally expected. Tattoo + Loreen made the perfect combination.

Overall, I’m pleased with the results. My favorite song won and my 2nd favorite was the runner up. It was great seeing how well received Italy’s song was by the public since many in the fandom had written it off. The biggest shocks were Austria’s lack of support from the public and Slovenia’s overall poor score (the song is great and they had amazing stage presence wtf)

Lol @ The Finnish tactical voting. It’s not at all fishy that Tattoo, which has been a streaming hit in Finland for weeks, ends up not receiving a single point from the public.  You never win when you play dirty. #Karma.

I’m baffled as to why some are surprised by Spain’s poor audience points when not even Spaniards are interested in listening to the song (see Spotify streams)

Graham and Hannah were great together. Alesha was good, too, but I prefer a comedic host.

1 Sweden

2 Finland

3 Lithuania

4 Slovenia

5 Italy

6 Cyprus

7 Ukraine

8 Czech Republic

9 Austria

10 Israel

Let's see how the pUbLIc vOtE will be translated in streams. I expect it to annihilate the jury vote!

austria and slovenia did well in the semi, austria was obv done dirty by the running order and i guess europe showed its slavophobia once again last night  :giraffe:

italy slaying as usual as the fans are seething, we love to see it. :WAP:

Something tells me that this will be Sweden's last victory for a looong time

The public is clearly fed up with scandi-pop, zero 12 points clearly shows that even with a song and performance like Tattoo :skull:
