I'm against the removal of jury but they should do soemthing about it.. maybe have at least 20juries per country and diversify from gender, age, minorities etc

The voting sequence would also be way less exciting if it was televote only, imagine if we had that last year with Ukraine lmao people would have turned off their tvs immediately

Honestly this. The way the voting segment works as television now is brilliant.

But they need to change the power dynamics between the juries and the people to 25/75 or something.

the same public also voted for Tattoo…

some of y’all are acting like Tattoo got 4 points from televote and 579 from jury :deadbanana2:

That's not what I'm trying to say here.. i acknowledge SWEDEN's WIN..

what i'm trying to say is SWEDEN's song is the most serviceable song, and now that it's getting free promo after winning it is to be expected that it will do more commercially :swan:

There's no logic in what you're saying... you're trying to defend something that was, by far, the public's 2nd choice, and that wasn't the first choice in any of the participating countries. On top of that, something that landslided the jury vote leaving people puzzled and wondering about conspiracies. This is doing more damage than anything to Loreen and to Eurovision's brand, since people are feeling resentful after paying actual money. Finland was a landslide, it was not a cute 30 points' lead like Norway's in 2019 that no one made a fuss about. This will leave an impact on next year's rules imo, especially considering Sweden now has to save face.

The fact people here refuse to acknowledge most of the backlash is coming from the GP than Kaa stans is INSANE :deadbanana2:

Anyway if people are gonna stream Tattoo they should stream the far superior version instead :clap3:

Honestly, the EBU should bring back the voting system they used pre 2016. There would be much less criticism towards the jury because results are being blended together and the GP doesn't care enough to check the detailed results on the Eurovision website :coffee:

the only reason why eurovision isn’t a full blown circus is because of the juries, thank you juries for existing :clap3:

i couldn’t care less about cha cha cha but i’m not surprised i see people fuming on my social media when my country gave 12 televoting points to finland and 1 point to sweden :dies:

I'm sorry but the biggest injustice of the night was Cyprus almost making it to the top 10 :deadbanana4: that song was the definition of white male mediocrity

If they really want to make a good change it should be opening the voting lines immediately when the first song performs like in the past, that way running order wont have as much impact as it is having rn (Austria coming second in the semi but then bombing in the finale)

but then the argument against that is that people could/would vote for their fav “country” without even watching the show :rip: so it really wouldn’t have helped austria either way. and probably hurt their ratings.

Austria was doomed to fail when they opened the show.. it's a camp song but a opener???

The UK really needs to change course next year and not go for another TaP artist again.

They need to have an internal selection where they actually receive songs and choose the best one like the Dutch broadcaster. Choosing the artist first rarely works

Tattoo was among the most voted songs, so I'm okay with it.
But the juries make it look like it's a masterpiece, which it's clearly not.
This is getting more and more ridicolous. Something has to change in the jury system.

EXACTLY

I like the TaP approach since I don't trust the BBC however now that the BBC would have potentially woken up to how big Eurovision can be in the UK if they send quality, maybe they'd see it differently.

Mae's song is good for the radio but as a performance, not so much. Vocals were a bit of a miss too. Honestly the way the show went it felt like they didn't want anyone to vote for Mae, the way the hosts would go on about her and cheer her :deadbanana:

NAUR the jury vote needs to be exposed to the point where we can get rid of it :coffee:
