Eurovision Song Contest 2023 | Loreen does it again!

It must be very embarrassing for you to win this while the whole arena is screaming Cha Cha Cha and public vote giving to Finland 140+ points more than you.

Ok get the fraud win from the juries but we all know that Europe votes for Finland

Overall it was a good year, Portugal deserved better, great performance but bad staging, and congrats to Belgium, they had a good amount of votes :clap3:

I think that was because of all the jury scamming that happened in the semis last year

it would be fun if they release the absolutely meaningless back up jury votes for the semis as well just so someone could calculate who would have made it instead of some other acts

I'm shocked by Estonia's place :deadbanana4: But she deserved I guess

I hated that song. The piano trick was cool but the rest?

Funny how she won and lost a chance to make a career of it and now she won a second time (ten years later), still no career. What happened

Even if the vote was 50 50 all together, Sweden would’ve still won. Let’s not go there, Finland was trash, the song was catchy but the guy can’t sing 2 lines for more than 10 seconds. Also the europe votes are as corrupted as the juries votes

I'm always shocked at how many countries send people who really can't sing...at all :rip:

Italy really became a ESC titan.

Well with Sanremo selection they really send the best of the best. Mengoni is big as Ed Sheeran in Italy.

What we need is a better selection process. We desperately need to adopt a Melodifestivalen style national final.

We need it to mimic actual Eurovision finals and have a 50/50 split between public vote & jury vote deciding our entry. We should also open up to international viewers & voters. There’s no point in British people having 100% of the say because we can’t vote for ourselves in the finals, we need to send something we *know* will appeal to international jurors and audiences. This is the best way to do it and other countries are already doing it.

TaP Music can continue to make internal selections for the shortlist (Sam was a great pick, Mae was good on paper) and they should then open it up and let us see the performances first before a decision is made. We need to be sure we’re sending an act that will translate LIVE.

It’ll NEVER happen, but this is my dream scenario for future UK selections.

I feel like if you went with someone like Rita Ora, she’d probably win with a semi-catchy song, but the problem is that most famous British acts don’t wanna be caught dead near Eurovision unless they’re special acts (and the fact Rita Ora was only a guest at a SF is lowkey embarrassing).

Pre-selection would be okay, but I feel like BBC would pick the most random acts no one ever heard of…

So happy for Loreen. First female two time winner of Eurovision! The queen,  legend,  and icon of Eurovision! Tattoo was excellent & a well deserved winner,  hope it explodes across Europe!

I was so scared Finland would actually win,  the overzealous stans in the audience :ahh:

Israel was the best dancer this year! And glad Belgium ranked top 10!

UK & Germany bombed hard :ahh:
