We all need to assemble tomorrow and mass vote Albania to ensure they qualify

I don’t see any song, other than Loreen and Noa being successful if they win the finals. Finlands will become the biggest fad ever if they win and forgotten by the summer. It’s very memey-tiring. The song doesn’t really translate into “global smash” topping the charts.

Well, duh, because it's in Finnish, lol. If it was in English or Spanish, it would be getting a lot more Spotify streams. It's not the best song, but I think a lot of people want something unserious to watch right now with all the things going on in the world. "It's crazy, it's party."

Julia was a bit stiff imo but still miles ahead of the three men Ukraine called “hosts” in 2017 :deadbanana2: so I guess i’ll take it

Also can we agree Julia and Hannah are the best hosting duo we've had in YEARS? Their chemistry was amazing and so entertaining to watch.

I've been saying! Terrible Israel hosts flashbacks no more

I just love to see Eurovision being popular! Maybe more popular than ever thanks to social media.

LOL none of these acts will become chart-topping superstars. People watch ESC mainly for the energy, camp and hilarious bantering among European countries and sometimes we might have quality music in between. That's why Verka Serduchka is one of the most remembered acts of Eurovision while the Serbian winner is pretty much forgotten a year later.

2019, 2021 and 2022 all resulted in global hits from Duncan, Maneskin and Rosa Linn. this year might follow the trend!

The only song that can be a hit song this year... is Israel's unicorn tbh.

Last year I inmediately fell in love with Snap. And everyone laughed at me when I had it in my playlist much before Eurovision.... and I'm usually right with my ear for hits.

La Zarra’s breast muscle choreography was the real highlight of Semi Final 1 if we’re being honest.

ESC has become much more global in recent years so it's easier for winning songs to chart worldwide. The fact that a trashy glam rock song like Zitti e buoni from a band pastiche of 00s rock can chart while rock genre as a whole is dead mainstream proves the hype of Eurovision more than the song itself.

the only winning song among those was Arcade

Maneskin went viral with a random old cover of Beggin and in 2022 Armenia finished 20th in Eurovision.

Eurovision helps get things rolling but these hits do not have anything to do with Eurovision being more global, Americans still don’t know it yet all three became big hits stateside.
