RedCarpet Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 I don't know any entry this year* so I'm gonna judge only on the performances Can't wait for todays semi final * beside Poland, I'm Polish and Bejba was such a meme
Bloodflowers. Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Excited to watch Serbia and Finland tonight! I love edgy techno sound!
Fevesy Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Spoiler Not Käärijä laughing mid-performance The crowd is SO loud after Finlands performance You can barely hear the hosts Will save the rest for tonight. Judging from the two I watched it has improved majorly since the rehearsal clips
Lil Mxnster Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 (edited) I just saw the À chanter la Grande France clip and I didn't feel winner vibes Edited May 9, 2023 by Lil Mxnster

ZIVERT Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 I’m gonna have to watch after the semi is done, it’s going to be so hard to avoid my social media until I’m home from work
Solaria Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Not ManGa singer supporting Erdogan making Turks finally think Lena deserved to win Eurovision
Queen Conchita Posted May 9, 2023 Author Posted May 9, 2023 no i’m never gonna get over how incredible it was seeing it in person and i’ve never heard an audience reaction as insane as it was for Cha Cha Cha serbia was so lackluster and moldova was the biggest disappointment, me and @IMadeYouReadThis looked at eachother shook at how bad his vocals were could’ve done without rita ora
little legend Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Wow I think that my country (Greece) this year has the worst entry in history of Eurovision I hate our national broadcaster for embarrassing us like this. I'm a huge Eurovision fan and this year I couldn't even listen our song cause I got embarrassed after a few seconds.
MALAMENTE Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 The one thing I don't get is all the different footage that comes out of the many rehearsals and people willingly watching all of it. I get wanting to take a peek but watching entire performances before the live shows seems stupid to me. But that is just me though, I like to be surprised when the show is supposed to be seen by everyone.
Lil Mxnster Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 La Zarra is free-falling, whilst Loreen is recovering points in the odds

I'm embarrassed by my country (Netherlands) too I swear if Duncan's nepotism and AVROTROS' unprofessionalism kills our qualifying streak
Fevesy Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Spoiler This shot still not being fixed hopefully will be tonight

I think the sooner we accept that our very existence is political, and the whole concept of this contest between countries will always be political, the fairer things will be. Of course, Eurovision is inherently political even though EBU loves to deny it. The no-politics rule is too arbitrary and gets selectively used. This is my issue with it. Major hypocrisy. 1944 and Face the Shadow (two bops btw) were subtle and not so in-your-face and blatantly obvious like Mama šč. People tune in to watch Eurovision once a year to escape the mundanity of everyday life and yet they will be swarmed with acts like Croatia and Switzerland. Also, Switzerland's anti-war song is hilarious considering they won't ever worry about that. 3 hours ago, Love Again said: The no politics rule is bullcrap, Eurovision has been political from the start. If you wanna dive further into that I really recommend watching this video which explains it pretty well (also exposes the hypocrisy of the West and their attitude towards Eastern Europe): This is a really good video essay, I was just about to post it
