Made several points but the basic premise of the whole video is this idea of a united Western Europe vs Eastern Europe when in fact there's actually barely ever been a united Western Europe at all. Agree with the British and Nordic hypocrisy tho. It's so easily proven by the fact that just less than a couple years ago EVERYONE (and I mean everyone including the gheys) in Britain would tell you "oh no one really cares about Eurovision here loool" when in reality it just meant "in typical British fashion, we need to pretend to be above it in order not to show how frustrated we are because we end up with nul points every other year". That of course has changed ever since Sam came 2nd last year and people seem to now be taking Eurovision more seriously. Same thing with Spain and the resurgence after Chanel. The Nordic situation is the most ridiculous to me as they so clearly have a bloc voting pattern just as much as the so-called "Eastern bloc" but they'll never admit it or even address the topic. I will not comment on the "queer politics" debate as I think that debate has way more connotations and it simply transcends Eurovision being heavily influenced in recent years by how people perceive the status of LGBTQ+ rights are in certain countries. Is it irresponsible for commentators to throw such ignorant and snobby comments about a country? Yes, absolutely. The UK has done a terrible job at that and it's played a big role in how Eurovision has been perceived here but at the end of the day I think we can all say most of us are just happy when we see our preconceived judgements debunked and boundaries being pushed.

Solaria Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Happy Eurovision week!! In five days, Loreen will make history as the first woman to win Eurovision TWICE and you will all deal
BOOM! Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 My wish is: Loreen, La Zarra or Blanca. Would be more than happy with one of the 3 winning. But we all know that Loreen has the highest chances. She is force to be reckoned with and the song is already doing amazing, and she will serve great performance so... Loreen it is, i guess.
Johnny Jacobs Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Loreen Noa And the french song Let's go Cha cha cha can cha cha home
WalkAway Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Finland is winning. There are a lot of jury-friendly entries this year and they will all cannibalize each other. There's no obvious jury winner. The jury points will be very spread out. And the winner will be an obvious televote winner Finland.

The televote will be for Finland, Sweden, Norway, Ukraine and Israel
TheLastChord Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I mean, I really, really doubt Finland is not gonna do well with the Jury votes. Sure, he won't be top 2 but I don't see them being far away. We all know the GP will love the song. I still want La Queena or Blanca Queenloma to win though
