Eurovision Song Contest 2023 | Loreen does it again!

Only 3 countries are giving me winner vibes. Sweden, France and Spain. I don't see anyone else winning. BUT at the same time, it depends on many things, just like last year for example. Only Spain was giving me real winner vibes, and she would've probably won if it was any other year but 2022 and Ukraine getting all the pity votes. So things are very hard to predict. For example 2 or 3 years ago Belgian's jury giving 0 votes to Voila was so... random and dumb. But like i said, i can only see Sweden, Spain or France winning this year.

Spain is gonna TANK in televote, there's been ~20 people to whom I showed the songs or they listened on they own, and every single one said Skip not even one minute in. It's not that they just don't like it, it's the only one that's outright unlistenable.

So unless yall think ppl will go 'Yeah i muted the TV after 20s becouse of the grating yelling, but her technique is great I guess so I'll vote for that', good luck booking that win.

There are also ppl with... taste you know?? Or at least i hope so. I didn't say that she is winning, i said that whole package is giving me "winner vibes" among few other performances. Ppl that see or hear it as "yelling" as you said should definitely not have any type of credibility and say when it comes to who wins and who doesn't.

It doesn't have to be listenable. The live performance is incredible and that's all that matters at Eurovision.

One thing is for sure that potential winners this year (Sweden, Finland and France) are so much better than the pity winner from 2022 :skull: I celebrate that, although my favorite is Spain :allears: I think Blanca Paloma will finish between #5 and #8, which is a great result :michael:

The contest is all about the whole package and people will be watching the performance too, which is really good. If it was just about the songs it would be a playlist or Euroradio.

If Chanel and her theatrics couldn’t beat old Moldovan men singing about a train last year, I fail to understand how a woman screaming (artfully, I should add) while waving her hand for 3 minutes is supposed to beat some of this year’s favorites in the televote. :celestial5:

Are we ever gonna get Mae's rehearsal clip or? :rip:

Not when you can’t listen to it because of the obnoxious yelling/moaning :doc:

When they’re not moving to their own tunes, Albina & Familja Kelmendi are fans of big voices like Christina Aguilera, Dua Lipa and Rita Ora - we bet they’ll be up and dancing to Rita’s performance in the semi-final.

Ok, now we have to stan! :jonny5:

Some people could and did consider this moaning too and yet...

they were hits both with the juries and the televote and one of them even won. Eaea has such a strong and impactful staging that it will get points regardless, it's good when an entry is divisive because even though some people can hate it- the people that love it will definitely vote for it and that's what matters the most... to not fall flat and in the middle rank when it comes to the televote because if you don't get enough supporters even though your song is more liked overall then you'll get no points at all. No one's saying it's gonna win the televote but it's reasonable to think it can be Top 5/Top 6 if it connects just with the right amount of people.

I'm Spanish and I just can't believe we're getting points 2 years in a row :rip:

In fact, I want Blanca to win just because I'm afraid of not having too many chances (and Chanel being robbed last year), so I'm just crossing fingers til we go back to out normal flop state lol

But anyway, if she places good it's gonna be amazing regardless, because last year I realized I had forgotten how it felt to see your flag's country appearing in the voting section haha
