Spanish delegation not being able to have the camera shots they want because the roof of the venue is too low... Wouldn't have happened in Glasgow!

A mess and a half. First the short ass fringe curtains and now this. :rip:

Both Loreen and Blanca having to downgrade from their national finals for "the biggest music competition in the world" :coffee:

yet Blanca's downgrade is barely noticeable and Sweden looks like their props are made out of cardboard :coffee:

Hmmmmmmm I'm kinda worried some people are not going to take La Zarra and the platform seriously and think it's too gimmicky :katie:

France slayed :jonnycat:

Italy looks awful. He’s just wondering around on stage with no direction.

The others are all mid

Évidemment's intro and lighting are mesmerizing :clap3:

La Zarra has to serve facial expression, attitude and vocals during three minutes; otherwise, it could result in a flat performance

France and Ukraine are giving CVNT. The others are looking kind of meh

I'd love for La Zarra to win but I'm not jumping on the hype train just yet. If there's 1 thing Eurovision fans LOVE it's calling a lady in a big tall dress a potential winner. I think there's a lot of potential for the rest of the performance to feel kind of static but I hope I'm wrong because this opening looks amazing.

Honestly all I can think of from the moment I saw the first pic of the platform and the long dress is how if this didn't win and ended up barely making the Top 10 (#9) then the stars need to align for La Zarra this year bc she's not moving an inch from that platform...

i don't think france will place thaat high because i feel like – in the end – france always ends up doing less well than expected (although evidemment is one of my fav entries this year and i wish her to pull a top 3 result :bird:)

yeah but zero gravitiy was like a meme gimmick song with that performance

Exactly. Estonia 2018 also came 8th despite the big tall dress hype. I'm expecting La Zarra to do a little bit better because the song is not popera and should hopefully have wider appeal than Kate and Elina, but she doesn't feel like a winner to me yet. I'm getting ~2nd with the juries and ~7th with the televote for a cute top 5 finish, but again I'd love her to prove me wrong.

I do think this opening shot would make for an iconic grand final opener but that would obviously affect her result as well.

It had the perfect appeal for both the juries and the public and yet it wasn't top 5 with either

And y'all keep saying that Finland is somehow gonna win over the juries... :matty:

Finland is now #1 on My Eurovision Scoreboard :clap3:

Finland is not giving me winner teas, idk. I cannot see jury members voting for that song and vocal performance... the more melodic ending with the pop sound saves it from tanking completely, but I do not see him in the Top 5 with the jury. and since Russia isn't invading Finland, his televote won't be strong enough to pull it off.

Finland will be a cute top 3 finish, but I don’t see it winning either

Everyone here thought that SloMo would flop with the jury votes last year but it did pretty well..Finland will be a surprise in the jury votes as well plus it will have big points from televote

idk why people would have thought SloMo would finish any worse than Fuego (which was a jury Top 5)...

the thing with SloMo is that Chanel was actually singing and the song had major radio hit appeal. Cha Cha Cha has not much singing, and the vocal performance when he does sing isn't good. the song is unique, but doesn't have any worldwide hit appeal either. I can see creativity being rewarded, but I'm really not confident in its chances of finishing Top 4 (Maneskin and Kalush both won coming 4th in jury/1st in public vote—the lowest any winner ranked with the juries in the past 13 years).

I see Sweden, France, Italy, Ukraine, Spain, Cyprus and/or Switzerland leading jury results. Israel, Finland and UK possibly completing the Top 10.

Errrm.... SloMo's jury votes came from the fact that she was both singing and dancing at the same time while not missing a single beat. Kaarija is barely singing and his dancing is not really dancing either so I don't see the correlation there. Even Go_A (a bigger better banger than Cha Cha Cha) barely came 9th with the juries and Konstrata kinda flopped too (#11).

Juries don't usually go crazy for a song that sounds too funny to be taken seriously.
