Lil Mxnster Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Loreen's staging looks tacky... Somehow, it's like a drag queen trying to impersonate Loreen, I know what I mean

I don't understand why the bottom box is so big?! It's big so that audience, flags, phones... etc. are not visible during the performance.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted April 30, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 30, 2023 What happened to the editing on Loreen’s TikTok

The way Loreen's setup worked at Melfest wouldn't have been allowed at Eurovision because the screen had to be there for all the performances. As long as they can rig the hanging props during the postcard (+ eventual ad break) it's usually allowed if the venue can handle it, and obviously they made it work with the smaller screen. Will it also be impartial if Blanca is allowed to hang her fringe curtains? But she wasn't, that's the thing. I'm just surprised because usually the BBC are super on point with this as they're always desperately trying not to show bias but I guess this one slipped through.
Komet Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Hanging up props by itself isn't a problem, it's problem when props are too heavy or the ceiling doesn't support it. (Or if they take too much to set up ofc) In 2021 for example you had disco balls, inflatable moon, that El Diablo mirror etc hanging just fine

The issue is that there can be no special treatment for any entry that will allow that entry to overwrite and therefore ignora the time stamp that every country has in between performances to set their staging up. That is (or used to be at this point) a set in stone rule.
Sweetestsecret Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Finland rehearsals tomorrow.. Kaarija is ready to slay!
BlueBlue Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 (edited) Norway is Norway. She is going straight to the final Malta is meh. NQ Switzerland is a nice suprise. With juries it would be 100% in the final but televote results can be insteresting. He is probably going to qualify anyways Moldova is better than NF. Easy qualify Croatia is Croatia. It can be very high or very low Serbia is bad for me but of course for me. He is going probably to qualify anyways because it's Serbia and they qualify most of the time Latvia is good. I wish they qualify over Croatia or Serbia. But it's Latvia and even with good songs they staying in semi :( Sweden is Sweden. Amazing. Winner potential Portugal is another nice suprise. It's working very well on eurovision stage. It's standing out of all songs but it's tough semi with favorites so it's 50/50 to qualify Edited April 30, 2023 by BlueBlue
BOOM! Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Ppl say that she wasn't happy with the first rehearsal at all.
Lil Mxnster Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I'm still laughing with the mess and a half that is Malta's performance.
Million_Lights Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 That means she’s going to dance right? https://eurovisionfun.com/en/2023/05/eurovision-2023-israels-first-rehearsal/?fbclid=IwAR2Tf-d6gFF5Ve0M0QYQzHR14eWSNjU1sxn3cCwQGzmypHqGazU1Xm_-nPo
BOOM! Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Rehearsals are such a non-event compared to previous years...

Fevesy Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 (edited) Israel rehearsal tea from the eurovision blog: Spoiler Noa starts her performance in a huge box lit with LEDs, with some nice rotating camerawork and lots of strobe lighting. She's supported by five backing dancers, all in matching black and pink costumes, and the whole routine is pop-video polished from start to finish. ‘I’ve got the power of a unicorn,’ sings Noa, and you’ll be delighted to hear we took the opportunity to research what specific powers unicorns have. It turns out their horns have healing properties, so we’ll be calling on Noa for all our backstage first aid needs. DO YOU WANNA SEE ME DANCE? asks Noa. Yes, yes we do. And we can confirm that it’s well worth the wait. THAT'S how you kick off a Monday. Obviously Israel has pyro - the routine finishes in a hail of fireworks. We've also just noticed that Noa ditches her trousers for the dance break, and wraps up the routine in boots and underwear. Happy Eurovision, everyone. The official pics should be really soon. Lil Mxnster Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 I'll be super-unhinged if Noa gets a better result than Chanel in the Final.

That means that she has to finish #1 or #2 which is definitely not happening with that MESS of a song. I knew that she will serve with live performance, that doesn't change the fact that the song is a pure flop.
MALAMENTE Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 Israel riding the Chanel wave and to be honest, sounds like a mess. Too many props and shticks for an equally messy song. It will probably qualify but
DUA LIPA Posted May 1, 2023 Posted May 1, 2023 at least they included unicorns this time and not centaurs
