Funhouse Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The Luke Black live performance vibe is very drag race girl who has never performed before going on the show and tries really hard to serve
nathanspears Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Just now, kimberly said: a lobster, obviously. his song is a bop but performance is shaky vocally. yet I'm still kinda into it... Shaky sis, it's more like an earthquake.
Lil Mxnster Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 The Faroese twink came, sang and called it a day

kimberly Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 La Zarra said "I don't wanna hear from ESC twinks on twitter that my vocals weren't good"
Hurem Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 La Zarra came through with the vocals. Is it me or was the break between "à chanter la Grande France" and the final chorus a few seconds longer than in the song? I hope they keep it that way.
nathanspears Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 This is going on for another 3 hours?! I'm going to bed, I'll just watch Loreen's performance tomorrow
Lil Mxnster Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 There are still 5 performances left: Loreen, Teya & Salena, Käärijä, Mae Muller and Konstrakta
Fevesy Posted April 8, 2023 Posted April 8, 2023 Mae please do not have the spoken word part at Eurovision
Funhouse Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 The way Loreen was THE main event lol, everyone got their phones out to record as soon as she walked on stage
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted April 9, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 9, 2023 The performances confirmed that Tattoo does not hit as hard as people want it to without the extravagant staging. Compared to Kaarija who was so energetic and had the crowd jumping the entire time. The contrast was quite noteworthy.

Funhouse Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Käärijä needs to work on his vocal performance if he want's to get enough jury support to be a potential winner. You either can't hear him over the backing track (UMK) or he's entirely off-key (Spanish pre-party) which is very noticeable in the second part of his song.

The only time at UMK that I couldn’t hear him was the deep parts in the very beginning.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted April 9, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted April 9, 2023 Of course, this Sweden vs Finland rhetoric will be useless when these queens win over both of them
kimberly Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 I am a Brunette truther suddenly. that performance was so good. I've also been really into Eaea this past week, and her performances did not disappoint. Mae Muller and La Zarra... studio versions give me my entire life but I'm beginning to worry a little bit.

Green Tea Is Green Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 We're in a esc era where staging can carry a mid song to the top so idk why people keep using the ''tattoo without the staging isn't as good'' like okay? But it HAS the staging, just like every ESC song From the preparty the highlight definitely was Austria, I actually wouldn't be shocked if they steal that televote and place high with the jury after that, they just need the right staging Brunette was nice too I thought she'd do way worse tbh... La Zarra was messy but you could see her in-ear was flopping and she still hit that high note flawlessly! And of course Monika, Alika, Blanca, Mimicat etc. were as good as always, vocalists As much as the sound was a mess most of the others were pretty bad and I don't think it'll change much for most, Vesna, Mae both vocally and... her stage presence in general , the dutch duo were struggling a lot specially the guy, Luke somehow did worse, Alessandra without the autotune lost a lot of power and even lost her voice before the whistle note, you could barely hear Kaarija with the pre-recorded vocals too I don't know what that mess with Loreen using autotune (?) was but tattoo live sounded better than during melfest
