They already earned more than half of their 2000s–2010s total :gaycat5:

I wish they cared about sales as much as y'all love to claim, their singles' payola is awful :deadvision:

My Universe is BTS' fourth biggest song while it hasn't entered Coldplay's Top 10 yet. They would have reached 8 billion this year one way or another :gaycat2:

I need to get back into their discography :jonny2:

Don’t worry about that user, they’re known for posting the most outlandish comments. They even tried to claim that Jack Harlow was more successful than Imagine Dragons and when I brought up the fact Imagine Dragons had sold over 75 million records WW and were currently on an arena / stadium tour they got quiet REAL quick. :gaycat2:

You went easy on them by using a Wikipedia source, they sold 89.5 million records in US certifications alone, pretty sure they're at 200-250 million by now :fan:

Imagine Legends indeed.

Some of the ‘takes’ people have on this site are insane. Imagine making such ridiculous claims which can be easily debunked. :rip:

Coldplay are massive! Just look at the tours they’re able to do. Yet, they have the audacity to claim BTS is responsible for their success. The jokes wrote themselves at this point!

I don’t mind it with BTS, but I do think it would have been better without them.

Lemme go and stream People of the Pride. :jamming:

I'm not that much into POTP anymore to be honest, Coloratura aside the pop songs on MOTS are ageing much better and it's such a kii to think about it :dies:

POTP is my favourite on the album. The chorus gives me such Marilyn Manson vibes. :WAP:

Talent and consistency :clap3:

What I find particularly impressive is how their streams are across all albums, no one album produced all the hits. Also, four songs in the billions club (three from the pre streaming era!)

Coldplay’s top 10 most streamed songs on Spotify:

1. Something Just Like This (Single) - 1.8B

2. The Scientist (AROBTTH) - 1.2B

3. Yellow (Parachutes) - 1.1B

4. Viva La Vida (Viva La Vida) - 1.0B

5. Fix You (X&Y) - 970M

6. A Sky Full Of Stars (Ghost Stories) - 868M

7. Hymn For The Weekend (AHFOD) - 881M

8 Paradise (Mylo Xyloto) - 767M

9. Adventure Of A Lifetime (AHFOD) - 723M

10. My Universe (MOTS) - 594M

8/9 albums represented… consistency!

Edit - all of these (except MU) are over a billi with YT streams

Spoiler

Something Just Like This - 2.0B views on youtube
Hymn for the Weekend - 1.6B

Paradise - 1.5B

Adventure of a Lifetime - 1.3B

The GP deserves electric chair for letting Arabesque and Everyday Life as a whole flop :gaycat6:

The GP said no to experimental, global taste I guess :gaycat6:

Coldplay is a universally loved band. I know a lot of people that love their first few albums, and listen religiously even as non-fans, and people that like their new material. They'll be successful for a long time, I think.

It's a good thing their most played songs are the classics, because they haven't made good music since 2008 (except for Everyday Life).
