alfonso12 Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 She definitely is in Beyoncé/Madonna level in Latin America and Spain.
Bubble Tea Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Shakira is on the same tier as Beyonce, Madonna is on a tier above them.
Katy V.! Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 She's Madonna level (or maybe above her) in Spanish speaking countries. She's Beyoncé level in non-English/non-Spanish speaking countries.
regulovalentin Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 To me Shakira is like Namie, and Namie is like Madonna so it makes sense
BionicWooHoo Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I don’t know that much about Shakiras work esp her albums in Spanish so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like the Madonna comparison is like a bit…ehhh… Madonna was actually groundbreaking and like started so many conversations about social issues. Does Shakiras lyrical content have the same gravitas? Not to be shady but whenever I think of Shakira I think of like someone who sold out musically to be a generic blond popstar
Nebur Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 well shakira is the greatest female artist in latin america her songs and name is even better known than madonna , and that without talking about beyonce who here in Latin America does not have much talk
dirrtydiana Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 He didn’t lie but she’s become way too lazy to be like Beyoncé and honestly everyone comes short compared to madonnas impact
SinnerCity Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Yup, She belongs to that tier and just like Beyoncé and Madonna, there can only be one Shakira.
uusagii Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Off-topic but is it just me or did he single-handedly end M*luma
Bears01 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Beyonce and Madonna have bigger careers overall, but she is still a huge icon. A HUGE icon
Pheromosa Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 she definitely has the longevity. i'll accept this.
