When I switched from spotify to AM, I started listening to full albums instead of just playlists, and evermore and folklore are the two I listened to most so they just stomp everything. The only other album I listen to with any frequency is If I Can’t Have Love… so Halsey also books quite a few slots in the top 20.

Take care of yourself first A song or game is not worth as much as your wellbeing.

 

I understand how frustrating it can be when you want to do something but it seems like the mental distress is an obstacle. I personally would suggest to not allow the mental distress to dictate your life, and to be compassionate towards yourself. Praise yourself for what you've been able to achieve and recognise if something might be overwhelming for you right now.

 

You shouldn't finish the song at the expense of your own mental health.

 

There are other options besides completing the song, such as: 1) Not submitting for this round and trying another round in the future, 2) Try and get your song to where you are satisfied with it rather than "finishing" it, 3) Submitting what you already have.

 

Asking someone else for help or researching by yourself, whether it is help with your song or anything else, is another option.

I think it can be easy to place a lot of weight on "getting something done" when that might be adding more stress unnecessarily. I think it is important to enjoy the process whether or not you finish writing the song.

 

Finishing the song is not a requirement in the game or in general.

 

This game can be a playground where you can be creative and learn!

 

I don't know if this helped you but I thought I would share some comfort and advice , especially since I've experienced this myself too.

I got the top down on my jeep now

its just a temporary fix to a bigger problem

i got lots of feelings that dampen my mood

been trying to fix it but only so much i can do

I try to bandage it up but i cant seem to make it fully heal

time and therapy dont seem to work for me
