Well I didn't know they were siblings, despite obviously knowing who they were individually. Not everyone is over 30

Anyone working in hip hop, especially an ARTIST, should be able to recognize Brandy on voice alone. :rip: This is beyond embarrassing.

I didn’t even know they were siblings until now :rip:

Really?

Maybe because I’m black. I honestly can’t think of another reason why people who are ingrained in, or so obsessed with our culture wouldn’t know this.

How do you not recognize Brandy's voice is the real issue here...

This basically. Ya getting angry at the wrong ( especially since he knew who Brandy was and the OPs headline is clickbait) thing.

The amount of lashings he's getting this week/month. He seems sweet. He flubbed big time on that one tho :deadbanana2:

He literally says “Who is Ray J’s sister?”.

Did YOU watch the video? :skull:

in the same video he acknowledges her and says "brandy and ray j are siblings?"

he just didn't know they were siblings but i feel like hes trolling. kind of falls in line with his whole persona.

not them referring to Brandy as "Ray J's sister". She was way bigger than him.

how do people who are so heavily invested in hip hop and R&B culture not know Brandy

I can understand the anger about this more than the anger about not knowing who her family is considering he's 23 years old and it just wasn't a fact that was ingrained in pop culture in the past few years.

However, not recognizing Brandy's voice when he's not only a musician, but supposed to be in the know in the hip hop scene :rip:

First the fact that he mistook the song for Aaliyah...This song is huge in the black community, and you want to make black music but cant list a favorite from one of the most well respected black female artists in the world on one of the biggest/most iconic albums of her/anyones career? And it's literally the first song on it? C'mon now.

This is what happens when you appropriate, not appreciate
