I'm not an anti-masker but Patti is so annoying

My boss just interviewed her a couple weeks ago, and she talked a lot about why masks in the theatre are important. This particular show has had a horrible time with COVID because their cast and crew keeps coming down with it and having to pull out of rehearsals, performances, etc, and it's really screwed a lot of things up for this show and all over Broadway. The outburst is a kii tho :rip:

The dumb Karens in this thread :rip: the only things they've used the internet for in the past 2 years if for ATRL and making gifs, I see.

Anyway, I hope she got kicked out. Rules are rules and, as she said, that woman either follows them or she could leave.

None of this proves that any of those things were caused by wearing a mask though. Hospital staff developing acne or headaches could also be brought on by the stress of working on the frontline during the height of the pandemic. There's no proof that any those were caused by masks, just conjecturing. Throughout that entire report, the words "could", "can be", "may be" are used.. and some of it is literally contradictory to your own point... a small number of people being sampled, 47% of which already had skin irritation before wearing masks, acne accounted for 53% of participants, of which 35% said they already suffered from acne :rip:  and tiny numbers being reported for "cognitive impairment". Did you read this report before you used to it to try and defend your point sis? :rip:

Very limited research with very minimal findings to help your argument.

Well not covering your nose equals not wearing a mask at all, soooooo...

thats 70% of the people during the worst part of covid lol

i saw so many people incorrectly wearing them everywhere lol

I can't at some people's responses in here, the pandemic is still going on cause all of you never understood how it works.

Why would anyone choose to dare defy Patti is beyond me. She should've gotten worse.

Patti does not care, and I love that about her.

Patti LuPone is just... vile. Nosers bug me too, but that was so inappropriate and unprofessional to do in front of the audience.

If she’s so staunch about wearing masks, shouldn’t she be wearing one in the first place? Another joke writing itself

Because she's performing in a show onstage, is it worms :rip: It's very hard to speak/sing with a mask while still projecting, even with mics. And that ignores how you kinda need to see a person's face when they're acting for an entire show :rip: Keep in mind that talkbacks (which is what's happening in the clip) happen directly after the bows.

The COVID policies on Broadway (and in all equity houses) are robust regardless and companies that break rules would be getting fined.

Well if you think that human beings are better off cutting off oxygen flow to their brains, then that’s your opinion. Common sense doesn’t require research or findings to supplement an argument. But if that’s what you require, Google is always right there

I didn’t know putting on a mask in between a show & a talkback was such a time consuming process. But it’s okay, you can keep sympathizing with elites who are allowed to break the rules set forth for everyone else in society. Meanwhile, I’ll be receiving the proper amount of oxygen to my brain by not wearing a mask

+ wearing a mask on closed spaces isn't that useful in preventing covid, given that masks still allow the virus to be sustained in the air.

You are wrong. Covid is not sustained in the air, its transmitted by airborne droplet particles which is precisely why wearing masks indoors protects against the virus.

It’s May 2022, why are posts about “owning anti-maskers!!!” still going viral :rip: No one cares anymore.
