SashaDevachelli Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Absolutely, and even Adele herself knew and admitted publicly on TV that Lemonade deserved it
ahauntingnearu Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Yes - I knew it, Bey knew it, Adele knew it, Jesus knew it...
sourtwink Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 lyrics like “suck on my balls, pause” and “i got hot sauce in my bag, swag” are not grammy worthy and some of the production sounds soundcloud level quality so no
Gov Hooka Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 The Grammy's and entire concept of awarding anything Album of the Year is dumb but out of the nominees for that year, I liked it the most so yeah.
Somnambulist Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Honestly the music itself was only ok to me, a couple standout tracks- it was the visuals that made that album iconic to me, so i dunno how i feel about it being AOTY.
LeMésTragique Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 No, albums that take villages to write shall never be awarded
Cloröx Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Yes, anyone who says the opposite must be success stan
brraap Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Could we scream yes any louder Ready for Adele to get her lashings this year though for releasing 30. Karma babes

Letemtalk Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 First of all, the nominations review committee snubbed Bowie from the AOTY nominations, even though Blackstar was one of the most acclaimed albums of the year. Considering that he won in every category he was nominated in, I'm sure he had enough first round votes for at least a nomination. I'm not sure if that would have made it easier or harder for Adele or Beyoncé - perhaps Bowie could have won here, or perhaps the two British artists might have split votes. Given that the final choice was 25 or Lemonade - Lemonade should have won. 12 hours ago, LeMésTragique said: No, albums that take villages to write shall never be awarded Lemonade had a lot more writers on some songs, but in fairness, Adele also had a huge number of producers, session musicians, engineers and other people working on 25.
Power&Control Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 No! I think SELF TITLE is a better album and deserved that win
Ice Cream Skies Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 An album about getting cheated on and then returning to your man with your tail between your legs. Hardly empowerment, more like marketing hype. The album was passable, but self-titled was so much more interesting. The answer is no.
PrudenceHCharmed Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Yes. Critics and Adele agreed. But the GRAMMYS prefer whispering and yeehaw music with non existing vocals so yeah.
Prisoner Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 meant to vote yes. Yes absolutely especially over... 25
SelenaTheWinner Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Both Adele & Beyonce deserved that win. So Im happy for Adele. But for the BEYONCE album is what Bey shouldve won AOTY!
