They're not going anywhere- which is like.....the point of them. They live forever on the blockchain. Sure there's some corny projects, but it's a new space, its the future whether you guys want to accept it or not. It will just evolve and get better over time.

In the short term maybe, but there's new technologies emerging that take up significantly less power. It's just growing pains, look up Ethereum 2.0 - hopefully it launches this year.
