4/8/2023 week

everyone except few outcasts released on last week, it's ghost town at record store and holding until explosive upcoming week. for now, we shall go back stream the loveliest time again.

Brett Young - Across the Sheets

Brett Young - Across the Sheets

famous phrase 'strike iron when it's hot' sometimes backfire to artists when it comes to new releases. yet another EP in LP format 8 tracks that repeat his last album strategy and definitely feel unnecessarily rushes. most tracks quite on par for his standard, good writing vocal sound great but it is what it is. just not enough.

fav: Dance With You, Love Goes On

spacer.png

The Maine - The Maine

their 9th album gives everything that alternative/pop radio craves on top of silky tailored production that safely to say there is not a single bad track remained. solid songwriting, streamline consistency throughout project, it's pop rock finest hour that big time rush or jonas brother would dream in another lives to be the maine.

fav: how to exit a room, leave in five, thoughts I have while lying in bed

Miles Kane - One Man Band

Miles Kane - One Man Band

back on self-known mod revival rock on this after extending out-of-comfort zone genres from pop soul/baroque pop territories on last year's album. the accusation is false, most lyricism organically come out to demonstrate his talents rather than calling autopilot since this is indeed better than his own standard. maybe his best work.

fav: Troubled Son, Ransom, title track

spacer.png

Art School Girlfriend - Soft Landing

creative issue across genres boundaries always causes more harm toward artists and even more trouble when drama unnecessarily involved. the sophomore album from UK art pop act takes a huge turn in her career to atmospheric house beat with haunted vocal layering through ambient pop production. brave, bold, and succeed.

fav: A Place To Lie, The Weeks, Heaven Hanging Low

spacer.png

Activity - Spirit in the Room

strong presence and polarizing sound in term of signature visual is always a good thing for characterized in an ocean of indie scene. the art rock band 2nd album polishes their own production to more appealing melodic chords but remains their moody, anxious, lonesome atmospheric to lay out the visual. cohesive in worst way.

fav: Department of Blood, Heaven Chords, I Like What You Like

spacer.png

Joshua Ray Walker - What Is It Even?

as much how tracklist selection is pretty divisive and various range from classic to old classic, the arrangement production is certainly pickin up pieces to pull it off really well. the cover album for his full length 4th one showcases his adorable vocal skills and visual over lady night in honky tonk campy that everyone should enjoy this.

fav: Linger, Goodbye Horses, Nothing Compares 2 U

spacer.png

Mikaela Davis - And Southern Star

she decided to make a move into country visual from indie pop debut to indie folk alt-country leaning. it's good idea on paper to include banjo in every song but songwriting is basic white girl indie pop that doesn't go along well with americana elements and visual when you weren't born to do that. decent attempt and dedication.

fav:   Home in the Country, Leave It Alone

spacer.png

Mammoth WVH - Mammoth II

this album is bunch of poor riff selection, most chords are melodic but surprisingly dull due to zero hooks and memorable line. melodies/songwriting is just mediocre and missing notable bass layering is unforgivable mistake. all in all, as second album from one man band Wolfgang Van Halen, van halen's son, it's ok, barely a pass.

fav: Like a Pastime, Another Celebration at the End of the World, Take a Bow

spacer.png

Girl Ray - Prestige

for a good measure, the release reassembles modern day of disco demolition night that was root of sole reason why there are limited interval trend between each revival. the fatigue kicks in from autopilot production, awful cheese karaoke lyrics, and disrespectful towards the genre. go back to indie pop route and dont come back.

fav: Hold Tight, True Love, Wanna Dance

spacer.png

IZA - AFRODHIT

everything about production/sound design/genres styling/lyricism/visual creativity for sophomore project brazilian pop artist screams out loud in one word, safe. the formulaic beat patterns and her vocal is incredibly dreadful, fillers after fillers, boring obscene demos in label value that dumps into this is so basic. meh bad.

fav: Que Se Vá, Batucada, Boombasstic

landslide on metals and rock genre by quite margin despite of big names releases from noname, trippie red, public image ltd, the band camino, bonnie 'prince' billy, jungle, and more.

spacer.png

The Hives - The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons

exactly, just what the band need to comeback with sounds that their fans love and miss over 12 yrs absence, garage rock revival top band delivers their signature high energetic dense layering rock with few cheeky transitioning. decent songwriting as usual, worth time recharging their inspiration and back with vengeance.

fav: Countdown to Shutdown, Two Kinds of Trouble, Trapdoor Solution

spacer.png

Hail The Sun - Divine Inner Tension

swancore/post-hardcore band back for another installment over their 6th album which relies on relationship tension lyricism than focusing on instrumental technique. great cohesive with clear theme carrying on heavy personal mid-30 topics storyline, riffs are also not bad at all with their well-pacing throughout each song.

fav: 60-Minute Session Blocks, Maladapted, Tithe

spacer.png

Dead And Dripping - Blackened Cerebral Rifts

ignore that next album down below about brutal death metal because this album is other spectrum of bad in term of disastrous production like one of worst of the year for technical terms. it, however, is quite fun to bop along and make it acceptable over whatever they tried on prog metal approach or good jam from pig snare.

fav: Aural Interference With Uncanny Subconscious Frequencies, Kaleidoscopic Visions Of Porous Obsidian Eternities

spacer.png

Megaherz - In Teufels Namen

german metal band on their new project after long length of discography throughout the years, imagine being old hags screaming in studio with autopiloting midi and play same chord/riff keys over and over in record. poor production yet it's not totally dud with few banger moments to bop on trashy tracks here this and there.

fav: Engelsgesicht, Der König der Dummen, Menschenhasser

spacer.png

Werewolves - My Enemies Look And Sound Like Me

among metal audience, there are quite diverse opinions going around brutal death metal genre whether it's next big thing or hatred against them. with how their production work, it's never easy to follow what's going on due to its complexity. in this case for the band's 4th album, the overproduced is bit far too much.

fav: Brace for Impact, Under the Ground

spacer.png

Laura Groves - Radio Red

anxiety kills the cat with her debut album release after string of droplets over a decade. midtempo/ballad art pop on psychedelic keyboard usage along her wide octaves range while going slightly more uptempo on second half. lacking on songwriting section which sound great at times but also dull on some moments. cute

fav: Good Intention, Any Day Now, Time

665162-reflections_0447.jpg

Caskets - Reflections

formulaic sound on the band second album is unsurprisingly generic and predictable on post-hardcore approach. the fact that the production structure is mainstream pop rock fundamental or radio rock that famously cited now, it's definitely got some appeal on songwriting which is inoffensive and good introduction to rock for newbie.

fav: Silhouettes, Believe, Too Late

723721-appetizer_0734.jpg

CLIP - APPETIZER

yes, the more female representative on hip hop the better genre appealing to general audience and obviously girls can do cloud rap well either. the debut album from nyc rapper surfs her lush seductive flow from alt-r&b to mumbling trap cloud rap over cute cloud atmospheric beat that match with her vocal range. one to watch.

fav: tiredZzz, maybe i Am crzy

723918-face-to-face_1333.jpg

Suzi Quatro & KT Tunstall - Face to Face

the mother of all mother of glam rock upstate decades younger rocker lifting her shiny injected face to present the duet original work. toning down the theme to matchmaking acoustic rock that is mixed by heavy hard rock tracks and soft rock humming on basic production. quite easy to love these lyricism as well their chemistry.

fav: Good Kinda Hot, Shine A Light, Damage

713733-porches_0010.jpg

REASON - Porches

been quite impressive year for top dawg entertainment label takes zero responsibility for sza smash album and doechii gears up for debut of the century, the third album for notable roster delivers decent demos autopilot for label's standard and bland bars as expected. guests tremendously help the record which is a plus.

fav: A Broken Winter Break!, I Don't Trust You!, FTN!, You Betta (Jesus Take the Wheel)

702106-youre-the-one_2255.jpg

Rhiannon Giddens - You're the One

tradition integrity among american folk gradually morph to contemporary approach that keep generation and community altogether. her sixth album presents modern day mixture of folk gospel rhythm & blue which practically easy to listen for all audience ranges despite of safe visual. her unique vocal is enough to sell the record.

fav: Too Little, Too Late, Too Bad, Wrong King of Right, Way Over Yonder

681034-homo-anxietatem_1212.jpg

Shamir - Homo Anxietatem

bunch of hit and miss throughout his career and quite unpredictable at times whether he is capable of deliver at very least good work out of them inconsistency or stuck on first album fame. now this is good, his crafted indie/slacker rock comes to fruition as relatable songwriting and peak gay realization phase music. approved.

fav: Our Song, Crime, Without You

672044-positive-spin_1936.jpg

Gretta Ray - Positive Spin

sad state of music industry when current metric to determine what is good music these days is gravitating toward who makes better taylor swift copycat music better than another. shamelessly shout taylor name and zero identity authentic for whoever involved in this album. also caroline polachek influence in play, disgustang.

fav: Heartbreak Baby, Dear Seventeen, America Forever

636973-dizzy_1137.jpg

Dizzy - Dizzy

late into summer but it's never late to indie pop galore from the band's third album. bangers on appetizer three tracks before diving into realm of mesmerizing ballad in most acoustic piano/guitar sessions. somewhat sweet sincere deary songwriting that navigates the introspective visual with bright future ahead of them. life is good.

fav: Open Up Wide, Knock The Wind, Barking Dog

728269-domino_0226.jpg

Diners - DOMINO

monotonous in a bad way for their 6th studio album which is more of the same contents type of production in their own boxes. indie pop rock with surf rock/sunshine pop influence that could be put any track in this album to their former albums and satire patterns that all sound the same in the background. who's gonna tell them.

fav:  Working on My Dreams, title track, From My Pillow

726957-burning-it-feels-like_0711.jpg

Fran Lobo - Burning, It Feels Like

coming from former choral band 'Deep Throat Choir' to spread her own wings this debut. based art pop/alt r&b over experimental/psychedelic/pop soul that got the widest of the wide octave ranges in playful cheeky manners. abstract visual that benefit the production doubts and overshadowing certain songwriting flaws.

fav: title track, See Again, All I Want

675984-echo-the-diamond_1026.jpg

Margaret Glaspy - Echo the Diamond

pretty old school lyricism influenced dated back to 70-80's blue rock hey days transforms to modern indie rock that shows personality and songwriting on rooted skills. her third album got nostalgia atmospheric mainly focusing on her writing that visualizes glorious los angeles in prime cold war period. good time good ol' days.

fav: Irish Goodbye, Memories, Turn the Engine

664503-mother-road_0410.jpg

Grace Potter - Mother Road

several albums later for country pop rock chanteuse along her former band in resume with this spicy colorful taste country rock on few blue rock tracks. inspiring uplifted contents that describes fun cheerful life of a party crazes ready to rock the world on top of her lung. quite a ride, visual is all over the place on a dirt road.

fav: title track, Truck Stop Angels, Good Time

681858-drama-queen_1630.jpg

Idina Menzel - Drama Queen

when novelty wears off from great start, it's quite shallow in contents to pull this off as she wanted this to be. seriously and sadly, just another real housewive music to fulfill her contract as paper stated. is this camp qualified? honestly few tracks are but most fillers hold the full potential this could have been and get her yassified.

fav: Move, Dramatic, Funny Kind of Lonely

693020-world-music-radio_0856.jpg

Jon Batiste - World Music Radio

corny album because of weak narrative/visual following title and inappropriate production like beyonce 'the gift' on amateur level. let's move on, it's one of those years that grammy will have strike writer issue and postpone schedule in the sight with all shenanigan waiting in thin line. praise the lord and please have SOS by SZA win album of the year LET'S GO SISTAR.

fav: Life Lesson

edit: haters sabotage to this very page, it aint gonna stop me sorry. fix the pics pls

316x316bb.webp

Julek Ploski - Hotel *****

avant grade visual for this epic college/electronic on deconstructed club influence with these wonky synths that slightly overproduced at times. as much experimental approaches goes, the result is quite underwhelming as disney music twisting to acid trip which it's not work out that well in the end considering some good ideas in there.

fav: Serduszko, Tajemnica, Another Sushi Funeral

316x316bb.webp

Argo Nuff - dq

sometimes it's hard to be serious about experimental field among artists who consistently release garbage and few who are talented. new full length album come out from their EP few week ago and assuming their experimental sounds arent shine away from each other. this hypnagogic pop on drone layering is ok at some points.

fav: cavedwellers, quiznos

316x316bb.webp

Turnpike Troubadours - A Cat in the Rain

internal issues within band has been noticed among their fans concerning about the future of the band in this new album in 6 yrs. obviously passed their prime from satire vocal that quite struggle throughout the record but good news is top notch songwriting remains and viable contents that gather fans back to enjoy again.

fav: Three More Days, Won't You Give Me One More Chance, title track

316x316bb.webp

Be Your Own Pet - Mommy

the hive comeback few week ago worth mention on this yet another comeback for garage rock revival band that coincidence out of nowhere to reunion in their third overall studio album. certainly they got something to say after hiatus, grand statement idgaf attitude on furious riffs and dense genre standard. fun induced.

fav: Bad Mood Rising, Rubberist, Hand Grenade

316x316bb.webp

Hot Milk - A Call To The Void

the shifting progress sound that bounce between pop punk to alt rock on their debut album is admirably impressive. solid on vocals tossing turns between both of them and energetic melodies even topics arent that risk taking but forgivable on first album. only main complain is mediocre monotone pacing, great attempt nonetheless.

fav: Migraine, Bloodstream, Party on My Deathbed

11777044.jpg

楊乃文 (Naiwen Yang) - Flow

decent composure on bilingual switching between tracks and soft transitioning on indie rock with indie/art pop and post punk influence for her 9th album. taiwanese chanteuse live in ballad world of ethereal dreaming atmospheric illustration that consist of beautiful melodies and balancing various styles within project. endearing.

fav: Don’t Mind Me, title track, 親愛的我不想努力了

ab67616d00001e02cb0942253173b397b15af90f

Fridayy - Fridayy

bro got pretty thick vocal tones that rooted in gospel in this r&b debut album. throwing few afrobeat tracks seasoning spice up to mostly horrible songwriting that dont do justice to his soulful voice. despite of chore listening, his music choice is distinctively different by margin from market and let's say it's promising start to his career.

fav: Heart On The Line, Don’t Give It Away, Mercy

ab67706c0000da844eaea687ac224c53656bec2f

Old Crow Medicine Show - Jubilee

venture out of comfort zone and not paid off on last alt-country rock last album to brand new one with them back on progressive bluegrass genre. everything goes by so smooth from playful visual to punchy songwriting that almost feel like they finally are in their holy grail and loving it every moment. the sky is limit for their talents.

fav: Miles Away, I Want It Now, Smoky Mountain Girl

316x316bb.webp

Charlotte Cardin - 99 Nights

sophomore album means potential is there to continue career with hopeful bright future ahead. another major label release for her is literally perfect for shopping playlists with moody tones sensual lyrics from based pop soul/alt r&b to friendly radio pop on enjoyable lyricism. being upbeats solves all the problems in the world indeed.

fav: Confetti, Way Back, Somebody First

316x316bb.webp

Kendra Morris - I Am What I’m Waiting For

main successful factor on her last album is good combination of country soul/rhythm&blue and jazz to her pop soul along comeback narrative after several yrs hiatus. hence, moving backward to safe monotonous 70's pop soul here it instantly makes her losing the charm, lyrics/visual just too weak to her standard. super awkward.

fav: Anywhere, title track, Nightsnake

clownary on ovo building with teases and delay over an album with stripper's kid mspaint cover. travis scott already claim and take all praise in community, now time is running out for drizzy drake. up until next week he goes.

316x316bb.webp

Puma Blue - Holy Waters

hypnagogic pop is more popular among indie scene with its jarring atmospheric from vocal chords that progressed by avant-folk originality. somehow this guy created his own lane on mixing hypnagogic pop with downtempo/bedroom pop to his own alt r&b that is accessible for radio and playlist friendly. a feat and a half.

fav: O, the Blood!, Gates (Wait for Me), Dream of You

316x316bb.webp

Speedy Ortiz - Rabbit Rabbit

pretty uninspired release from them despite they've recharged energy for 5 yrs dodged the pandemic period. mostly their signature slacker rock sound remains but it's definitely underwhelming in lack of catchy hooks and non-conscious visual. nothing lands or sound fun on melodic chords, losing the plot they might be.

fav: You S02, Scabs, Who's Afraid of the Bath

316x316bb.webp

Frankie and the Witch Fingers - Data Doom

everything just works, every single thing for this latest effort from psychedelic rock band. short mention on another egomaniac band (king gizzard) that recently gone metal and probably not gonna be back to genre soon so this band can stay. now this, this is a hit, non-stop psych chords madness jam to the max. heated, sweaty.

fav:  Empire, Burn Me Down, Electricide

316x316bb.webp

The Paper Kites - At the Roadhouse

australian alt-country on adventure of their new project in 2023. unfortunately, the narrative between sober relationship and late stage of creative bankrupt leads to empty ambitious visual that lengthy and chore throughout the folk ballads in span of 80 min. frustrating dad folk that kids go back to play phones for campfire night.

fav: Till the Flame Turns Blue, Burn the Night Away, Green Valleys

316x316bb.webp

Taking Meds - Dial M For Meds

not sure if those noisy chords becomes more noise rock than post-hardcore or not, sometimes overproduced over layering could work if a band knows what's up. their 4th full length remains on their post-hardcore lane with power pop/punk influence that are surprisingly well-produced. peak high school realness experience.

fav: Memory Lane, Life Support, The Other End

316x316bb.webp

Lathe Of Heaven - Bound by Naked Skies

oh post-punk in 2023, who's gonna tell about their creative challenging when it's the most by far oversaturated genre almost every band releases same sound same noise. on the contrary, the band's debut provides gothic rock chords on this post-punk with mysterious deep cold basement visual and quite good listen at least.

fav:  At Moment's Edge, Ilusión De Luces (Cold's Embrace), The Faithful Image

316x316bb.webp

Pale Blue Eyes - This House

gamble on shifting sound to more experiment approach from basic dream pop debut to add noise pop/krautrock elements to their sophomore continuous. well, the album is much carried by lovely melodic lyricism while new genres skills attempts are horribly subpar as lukewarm chords. better than not tried at all though.

fav: More, Million Times Over, Spaces

316x316bb.webp

Kofi Flexxx - Flowers in the Dark

political driven abstract visuals on this jazz rap got moderate pacing that accomplished in skills technical terms. smooth production on few unnecessary flaws as lyrics or challenging narrative that not quite getting there. all things considered, it's not convincing on abstract aspects they wanted this album to be but it's fine.

fav: Apothecary, title track, Aim

316x316bb.webp

Mora - ESTRELLA

the bar is in hell for reggaeton scene with popular genre influencers who cant even rap on bars (obvious reading lyrics from demos) and possessed zero talent qualified to match previous genre greats. 4th album from him ,which remind of j. balvin, is laughable to all departments. guy cant rap cant sing but never a dull moment here.

fav: Pasajero, Córcega, Pólvora

316x316bb.webp

Bivolt - Chave

third installment for brazilian pop rap act, by all means, she sounds good, various beats to shake things up with trap/drill/brazil funk/r&b but production is too clean/polished to enjoy her robotic efforts. like how bad anitta in general is but she is tacky fun for wasted nights, for bivolt, honestly, it's pretty boring, sorry.

fav: Qdo ce me vê, De copão na mão, Deslizando

bunch of unhinged threads about olivia rodrigo and roisin murphy that represent late stage of doom days. the four horsemen of apocalypse along grimes and demi lovato, i cant anymore end me pls.

316x316bb.webp

Anjimile - The King

drastic turned on challenging their own acclaim sound from warm cheerful indie folk debut to quite dark moody visual in their official sophomore. the non-bi singer seems improving vocal skill wise while serving forgettable atmospheric art pop that goes nowhere because of weak songwriting. poor executed in the end, sadly a mid.

fav: Mother, Genesis, Father

316x316bb.webp

The Coral - Sea Of Mirrors

veteran indie rock band gives a take on spaghetti western theme in another chapter of their long list discography. very much on visual, cowboy wanders over heated desert singing introspective lyrics on most psychedelic folk production. nothing's spectacular as slow paced stories on sobby midtempo which is mediocre at best.

fav: title track, faraway lands, dream river

316x316bb.webp

Allison Russell - The Returner

hot country/americana trend on all time high strike with this superior grammy bait country soul following her folk debut. so much lives pour into lush visual on her joyful yet soothing to easily fall in love with her vocal. precious production on instant catchy hooks after hooks that rich and accessible for everyone. music like cover art.

fav: title track, eve was black, requiem

316x316bb.webp

Jalen Ngonda - Come Around And Love Me

high pitched octave toner singing on this classic meat and potato soul for his debut album. heartfelt family friendly topics that regularly sound like what old vinyl shop would consistently play and safest motown production ever. undeniable it's tribute record for impersonator alike but dude also sound good on low octaves.

fav: title track, Please Show Me, Give Me Another Day

316x316bb.webp

The Handsome Family - Hollow

not buying into this snoozed visual from them this time, it's obviously predictable at times over songwriting that isnt outstanding to engage with nature storyline and saying it's decent. by all means, this is their eleven studio album and sometimes dud happens on their renowned catalog which is legendary and among classic.

fav: The King of Everything, The Oldest Water, Shady Lake

316x316bb.webp

Buju Banton - Born For Greatness

the guy gave his attempt on worst song in victoria monet's album and continue in his new studio album in 3 yrs. for all what it's worth, basically the form of adult contemporary of reggae that relies on lazy minimal production. horribly chore to sit through and think of a positive aspect in album, worst snoop dogg's verse ever.

fav: title track, Body Touching Body, Feel a Way

316x316bb.webp

Jonathan Wilson - Eat the Worm

experimenting explores the world of psychedelic pop approach for this latest one from progressive folk artist. tripping visual that honestly bunch of great psychedelic experience and meh ones that not make that much sense over inconsistent pacing. unexpected result but his attempt at good will and definitely not a cheap bait.

fav: marzipan, bonamossa, the village is dead

316x316bb.webp

Deeper - Careful!

one of an album of all time for post punk genre. their third offering presents melancholic autumn feel over optimistic lyricism that absolutely brilliant usage for park activities playlists. every setup on autopilot production is remarkably shameless and extremely uninspired which becomes chore after those melodic chords. shrug.

fav: build a bridge, glare, sub

316x316bb.webp

Nick Shoulders - All Bad

it takes so much skills of songwriting to stand a chance on release an album at all in folk/country scenes, once artists are known they are forever grace to fans and everyone greet like hot cakes. his 4th album on honky tonk country is another instant classic, his vocal alone come out so naturally as visual itself. god's gifted.

fav: Blue Endless Highway, All Bad, Mama Tired

316x316bb.webp

Ashley McBryde - The Devil I Know

lesbian excellence releases new project same week for consecutive year with gay's excellence tyler childers new album, the statement they incoherently meant to be. mostly radio songs, these are solid songwriting as usual, easy listening background country radio panders on non-serious visual. loosen up at bar with boozes.

fav: Coldest Beer in Town, Women Ain't Whiskey, Whiskey and Country Music

warning in advance that i shall delay next week issue for a bit after a week absence in abroad. looking busy schedule for my time and album releases date in Q4. gonna be fun fall/winter to come.

316x316bb.webp

Explosions In The Sky - End

to whom may surprise by their newest output from long term post-rock band that still come back with predictable production to the ultimate autopiloting chords. the 'End' conceptual is crowd silence moment as drown out by bland melodies and exhausting by how dull sound is. only redeemable aspect is good pacing in structures.

fav: All Mountains, Ten Billion People

316x316bb.webp

Dengue Fever - Ting Mong

middle aged psychedelic pop on peace and quiet visual ready for retirement on their nursery houses. 'Ting Mong' or scarecrow in cambodia is their 6th studio album and mostly on midtempo chords that slow pace steady with the mother chhom nimol on vocal to not sound total bore. this is ideal album for beach pub on happy hours.

fav: Touch Me Not, Prahok in My Suitcase

316x316bb.webp

Margo Cilker - Valley Of Heart’s Delight

late summer vibe into dried grasses on early fall for her sophomore album. she got great taste on old school 60-70's country influence turning to optimistic lyricism with touch of neo-traditional honky tonk and folk pop on ballads. quite confidence on vocal while it might sound little bit too forced in moments, dear sincerely twang.

fav: Beggar For Your Love, Santa Rosa, All Tied Together

316x316bb.webp

Cleo Sol - Heaven

girl can sing for those purgatory simpletons to instantly ascend heaven by her own that's for sure. her third longform project hit home for comfy visual gathering in warm greet as happy family matters in neo-soul minimalism on soft instrumental layering giving her time to shine on vocal showcase. less is more for this beautiful album.

fav: Go Baby, Love Will Lead You There

316x316bb.webp

The Beaches - Blame My Ex

they probably think it's cool to try out pop punk high school dumb blonde visual on this indie rock/post-punk standard which is totally not out of line. inoffensive melodic instrumental over gen-z tiktok lyrics that even sound too smooth and nice than irritating by lyrics presence. sarcastic cheeky while maintaining their moral qualities.

fav: Blame Brett, What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Paranoid, My Body ft Your Lips

316x316bb.webp

Vagabon - Sorry I Haven't Called

once again, she changes her entire sound from ambient pop/indie folk last album to latest one on generic pop playlist background. her existing is heck of mystery with how generic and lifeless AI made it is, just sad about doomed artistic that got no identity and mainstream-lite songwriting. always a place in music industry somehow.

fav: Carpenter, Lexicon, Do Your Worst

Bombino - Sahel

accessible islamic music so called tishoumaren that rather be more indie rock than regular local albums among genre. he is pretty much well-known atp for pioneer modern tuareg music in landscapes where globalization bring everyone altogether. simple album, easy catchy melodic production to universal territorial's consumers.

fav: Tazidert, Alwane, Aitma

316x316bb.webp

Salem Ilese - high concept

string of 12 straight strike tracks that deemed as failed tiktok baited for her overdue debut album after that one hit wonder. there are always questions why tiktok artists never take off in mainstream range other than their breakout, one is talent and another is nerve, leah kate got it addison rae got it, this girl she is not, sorry.

fav: 2Much2Think, Boys "R" Us, Don't Shop When Ur Hungry !!

316x316bb.webp

Alan Palomo - World of Hassle

come out as his own without alias neon indian in fancy throwback synthpop which not that far off his formal stage name music. showmans' performance visual to insert every cheesy disco/citypop/synth-funk pitched along sophistic pop production. he got swag to pull this off effortlessly albeit frequent usage of high sharp keys.

fav: La madrileña, The Return of Mickey Milan, Club People

316x316bb.webp

Corinne Bailey Rae - Black Rainbows

well who'd have thought good ol' 'put your record on' chanteuses gonna pull fiona apple on experimental art pop. under lying neo-soul base, she says let me get psychedelic soul, garage rock, jazz fusion, electric guitar throw in one go this grand production. surprisingly, the ambitious visual kinda work for this brave attempt either. ok we see you sis, we see.

fav: A Spell, a Prayer, Earthlings, He Will Follow You With His Eyes

316x316bb.webp

Luzmila Carpio - Inti Watana: el retorno del Sol

first album in 20 years where have you been sis? so she's back on modern folktronica gen-z accessible this time over her own traditional regional south american music called indigenous andean. vocally it's quite struggled but understandably how her sincerely whole heart pour into this project, passable turn on production tho.

fav: title track, Chakana sagrada

316x316bb.webp

Staind - Confessions Of The Fallen

honestly, there is not much additional electronic elements that bother or jeopardize the record to either sound more modern or straight out of 90's. what's their back after 12 yrs absence is heavier layers punches after signature melodies that are very staind sound, aaron's vocal remains solid, pretty great among their catalog.

fav: Lowest In Me, Here And Now, The Fray

316x316bb.webp

Night Tempo - Neo Standard

the rise and fall of future funk genre is pretty devastating to witness the loop of whole mess of creative bankrupt MIDI that no longer entertain to the slightest. latest one from korea's artist on japanese label is mediocre consistency production that beg to differ the various pacing than stuck on dull circle of tasteless pop dance.

fav: Passion, Ninna Nanna, Needy Greedy

316x316bb.webp

缺省 [Default] - 共同的土地 [A Mutual Ground]

despite it seems consist of rocky production with neither outstanding or solid composure among their third album, the vulnerability side that shows the true essences of project kinda work on this atmospheric cold visual. the chinese band dissed their shoegaze sound to go on acoustic indie folk route and look like a good choice.

fav: 回环的梦境, 家的故事, 平原

316x316bb.webp

Lady Donli - Pan African Rockstar

quite commercial leaning on this melodic afrobeat labeled as alt r&b/neo-soul that actually playable on rhythmic/urban radios if accent is neglected. imagine her as female PartyNextDoor as sophomore project that extracts her root music to represent modern nigeria on western takes. like if amaarae released mid album instead.

fav: Comme Ci Comme Ca, title track, Hello Lady

316x316bb.webp

Cannibal Corpse - Chaos Horrific

nothing surprise coming from them with good ol' death metal without concept or visual or any though process going toward them. latest output opening on juicy bassline before jump right in to what's everyone wanted from them, death metal. great as per usual, riffs are so clean as well the production. look at me kids !

fav: Overlords of Violence, Frenzied Feeding, title track

316x316bb.webp

Dominique Fils-Aimé - Our Roots Run Deep

weak narrative poor visual forgettable production only thing left that remains good is her vocal. her 4th album serves no real purpose on casual listening except for exhibition/museum tour background music which holds zero substance and run out of any idea left in her brain. her one octave just drag everything down.

fav: title track, Just Let Me Go, Give Me a Reason

316x316bb.webp

FIELDED - Plus One

being backup white girl singer and live in backwoodz label which predominately by abstract hip hops acts seems decent choice for artist like her who can keeps release album/dropoff. the album contains cheap leftover beats from rappers to let her do her things and never a dull moment here because she can sings pulling off well.

fav: Take Me There, Waves, Freakyextendooooo

316x316bb.webp

Jenny Owen Youngs - Avalanche

transitioning to middle age adult is tough on responsibility especially her music career is part time career now as this album serves comeback after 11 yrs. while her mid songwriting is noticed, it's quite more relieve storytelling album that she wants them out of her chest and learn about her confidence to present than mindless bops.

fav: Goldenrod, Bury Me Slowly, It’s Later Than You Think

316x316bb.webp

Devendra Banhart - Flying Wig

hunty risks it all with his life and holes on newest material featuring cate le bon as main producer. on paper, it supposes to be immaculate art pop AOTY which includes stunning folk subsided, this instead brings ethereal minimal synth indie pop with his vocal floating on thin production. good idea on soft cohesiveness but it sounds unfinished on execution to see the full potential on visual. underwhelming on his level and wish he could go further on this route to more experience body of work and reaching acclaim in unfamiliar territories.

fav: Fireflies, Sight Seer, title track

316x316bb.webp

Diana Starshine - fairy pop

third collaboration project with electronic producer galen tipton (see: digifae and charli xcx's tribute album)) as her being solo lead this time for hyperpop act. despite of their works are experimental related, this is their take of commercial hyperpop as harmless and most accessible till date. quite standard no more no less among genre.

fav: Used2bb4, Bathroom floor

316x316bb.webp

Koyo - Would You Miss It?

when emo pop becomes a bit serious and given a breathe on post-hardcore lane, it looks interesting on the front but the offering is almost the sameish as based genre belongs. the band's debut album delivers quite tight pacing pop emo/punk that honestly not good on songwriting, mild but not totally forgettable for their attempt.

fav: Life's a Pill, Flatline Afternoon, What's Left To Say

316x316bb.webp

hemlocke springs - going...going...GONE!

from tiktok viral hit to debut EP, the demand is real for blazing pop entree on her synthpop/bedroom pop mixture. fast pacing synths gives decent indietronica vibe with her energetic lovely vocal that got good chuck of great lyricism stand up unique from the packs and quite promising notable consider her career started under a year.

fav: pos, girlfirend

316x316bb.webp

Slow Pulp - Yard

basic manner for an artist out there thinks about what are they going to do with second album after successful debut, mostly more uptempo and obnoxious weird edgy electronic is go to option for fan's impression. indie slacker rock band remains their solid production to provide their easy melodic pop rock for evening after works.

fav: Cramps, Carina Phone 1000, Broadview

316x316bb.webp

Beverley Knight - The Fifth Chapter

r&b legend got unfinished business on her unfulfilled contract under sleeve to continue serve in music business as her fifth studio album latest material. as expected, her contents are boxed in neo-soul gospel borderline that is autopiloting on steroid. literally tour album, flavorless predictable urban pop easy listening for her audience.

fav: Last One on My Mind, The One I'm Gonna Love, Cold World

316x316bb.webp

Molly Burch - Daydreamer

love that she consistently changes her sound landscape on every album up to her now 4th official album that evolves to synthpop as main genre. neglect her niche range of songwriting that would not please everyone, smooth layering to indie dream pop along her talent vocal is enough for another gem in her catalog.

fav: Unconditional, Baby Watch My Tears Dry, Beauty Rest

316x316bb.webp

Lucia & The Best Boys - Burning Castles

pop singer debut longform project that has been grinding for couple years finally got a release date to perform her finest pop to civilians of the world. basically, tiktok lyrics on sell out caroline polachek shopping playlist generic type of beat which cant help but cringe throughout the album in giggling style. stone cold cool edgy.

fav: Butterflies, so sweet i could die, hurt somebody you love

316x316bb.webp

Annalisa - E poi siamo finiti nel vortice

admire her or loathe her she still got her audience under fingertips for braindead clouts. italian pop singer wont stop her momentum over a decade domination in italian music scene and torturing second fanbase ears for more followers. this album is extremely dull 80's synthpop with her unpleasant screaming for 40 minutes.

fav: Mon Amour, Ragazza Sola, DISCO PARADISE

316x316bb.webp

Feid - MOR, No Le Temas a La Oscuridad

hence why reggaeton is mediocre genre in general because the versatility is non-existing, sound bad mixing with trap, urban pop, every other genres, just club beat for artists who mumbling all the time. his 4th album is generic pop rap attempt on reggaeton beat that run out of gimmicks, poor production, horrendous.

fav:  Ritmo de medallo, Vente conmigo, Privilegios

316x316bb.webp

LP - Love Lines

yet another 'lost on you' rendition for 12 tracks that are unbearable and complete wasting time to listen but there'a always a time for her streaming support rather than that one song in her career. basic pop rock on ear bleeding vocal which amazed by how was she pop up after all these years. lifeless, painful, unseasoning.

fav: Wild, One Like You, Hola

the rate of traveling is coming faster than ever because im out for a week in less than 24 hrs and back on next week. until then, sufjan steven new album is okay, enjoyable. oh hannah diamond latest is also cute.

316x316bb.webp

BoyWithUke - Lucid Dreams

conceptual album which involved topics around his miserable life, depressing, tantrum, struggling, etc. except that these are always main theme for his lyrics since blew up long ago. downgrade production to the point that just sad he continues to that spiral and left all his lyrics content as gimmick. please move on and never come back.

fav: Migraine, Bad Things, Rockstar

316x316bb.webp

Timber Timbre - Lovage

after long list of famed acclaim albums, folk singer songwriting comes back to release his latest in 6 yrs skipping pandemic period. possessed talent storytelling still presents throughout moody empty atmospheric that are full of questions and anxieties. not easy record to enjoy while diving into his charismatic universe.

fav: Confessions of Dr. Woo, Mystery Street

316x316bb.webp

Of Mice & Men - Tether

their production is notably cleanest of the crystal stellar without a single dust in their latest effort. top notch metalcore band goes straight to their melodic genre side without random breakdown random key changes, pure transcending progression to hear every riffs on clear channels and meaningful lyricism. quality controlled.

fav: Warpaint, Eternal Pessimist, Castaway

316x316bb.webp

Vanishing Twin - Afternoon X

abstract visual on their experimental neo-psychdelia would be their bucket list since formed the band to accomplish type of avant grade tripping field that ascend audience to heaven high. band's 5th album with drama BTS gives mixture of indietronica, krautrock, ambient pop influence to mediocre result, quite terrible pacing.

fav: title track, Lotus Eater, Marbles

316x316bb.webp

A. Savage - Several Songs About Fire

Parquet Courts's member on the run for his newest release as solo album off from post-punk life. bread and butter indie folk on minimal chamber production with his bold vocal on tons of repetitive rhyme lyrics. however, this is autopiloting done right, sincere enough to represent dad folk music in warm welcome. what a daddy.

fav: Elvis in the Army, My My My Dear, Thanksgiving Prayer

316x316bb.webp

Darius Rucker - Carolyn's Boy

happy to see him back on the road even these songs are so old in span of 3 yrs that kept in the vault with no sign of radio hit lately. never count him out when he's still on active over his third decade of successful music career. rusty aged vocal aside, it's matching with his country pop standard, decent easy listening as usual.

fav: Never Been Over, Have a Good Time, Southern Comfort

316x316bb.webp

KANGA - Under Glass

third studio album for LA pop singer on her multi-layering synthpop over the top production that is interesting in certain points. serving american representative for eurovision candidate, dark electropop in underground fashion show where air fog spraying lasers everywhere every second. just bad songwriting but passable.

fav: Dark Lullaby, title track, Romance

316x316bb.webp

Mutual Benefit - Growing at the Edges

depressive slow pacing folk which is uncharacteristic nowadays when everyone in folk genre singing about celebrating joyous after covid years. yet his songwriting tool has been put in work for carrying soft instrumental setting which displays his sorrow emotions to follow visuals. years of experience shows how he is here to stay.

fav: Beginner's Heart, Season of Flame, Little Ways

316x316bb.webp

Unschooling - New World Artifacts

neglecting english pronunciation from french band who tried their best to deliver retro post-punk on sophomore longform. tight lo-fi production illustrates several phases of nostalgia world that consistently present via each transitions in album. very cute melodies which severely lack in music today, it's good to feel hippie again.

fav: Public Transit, Excommunicated, Trauma

316x316bb.webp

Colbie Caillat - Along the Way

girl, this is NOT you, country is totally NOT for you because you're NOT belong to genre and songwriting talent abilities, you are NOT taylor swift, you can NOT be carrie underwoods, you are too delusional to think you are capable to yeehaw and get a play in country radio. this album is NOT good because lyrics sucks so bad.

fav: Wide Open, Still Gonna Miss You, I'll Be Here

enjoy me some classical albums on my trips and now i understand why they (traditional listeners) cant stand modern classical or anything that doesnt make them use their brains. back on the desk and ready for gay bops from troye sivan (pretty bad actually)

316x316bb.webp

Beartooth - The Surface

this is fine, just another OTT reactions from other boards that trash them on occasions, like bad mixing but that could fix up on update and pretty much all they've done is remaining to be themselves. positive visual is ok, riffs are standard, their skills on lyrics and production are acceptable for dad's transition phase album.

fav: Doubt Me, Might Love Myself, Sunshine!

316x316bb.webp

Maple Glider - I Get Into Trouble

dont mean to be rude but the songwriting skill and visuals on her latest are over exceeding budget for a label to invest on mediocre attempt. not a single aspect that shine and make her own sound stand out from genre and everything defines mid. let's say she tries her best to be lana del ray copied but it's a no.

fav: Don't Kiss Me, You at the Top of the Driveway, You're Gonna Be a Daddy

316x316bb.webp

Helena Deland - Goodnight Summerland

saying goodbye to electronic ambient synth for first time to wholeheartedly indie folk showcase all the lyrics contents from her solo sophomore and third overall including her band 'Hildegard'. right about release time for autumn which also theme of sweet and sour love topics, shaky pacing and just good not great type of folk.

fav: Saying Something, Spring Bug, Roadflower

316x316bb.webp

TOBi - PANIC

he is so back with soulful ambitious visual to be grammy nomination ready album that gonna mark a footprint in community for years to come. the third album peaks with his skilled conscious hip hop/R&B about black lives. it's multiverse of GK,MC kendrick if it never exists and non stop hook punches that well crafted. damn straight.

fav: Time Out, Flatline, Hoodwinked

316x316bb.webp

CMAT - Crazymad, For Me

came out big swing on her alt-country debut and fast forward to this second album real quick. speaking about lyricism, being irish's elle king Ex's & Oh's girl (almost same range), there is natural progression towards more smoother songwriting to add more contrast to her vocal. not hitting hard as debut instead show her soft side.

fav: California, Rent, Stay for Something

316x316bb.webp

G Jones - PATHS

better be worth it for once in a while EDM artist releases full length album that is actual album not tagging all songs from several EPs. future bass with fizzling of riddim and electronic traps blended to melodic visual that vapid and energetic with few ballad/ambient for variety. fantastic result, pacing is so crispy and lively.

fav: Which Way, Maybe, Dancing on the Edge

316x316bb.webp

Twin Temple - God Is Dead

jumped a bit on old school rhythm and blues/brill building new release then realizes stephen sanchez and that awful album last month happened. satanic dark visual continuous from debut which easily is progression for this sophomore, it's too lazy to make up with cringe lyrics and bland production. gimmick run dried, give it a rest.

fav: Fallen Angel, Spellbreaker

316x316bb.webp

Squirrel Flower - Tomorrow's Fire

somehow she got her visionary going after couple of mild easy indie folk albums to lo-fi slacker rock for her third album. her songwriting remains sweet attractive rarely that her vocal would sound bored or dull even in limited octave. optimized setting that isnt too aggressive on shoegaze chords yet it fits her so well. the points are on.

fav: Alley Light, Intheskatepark, Canyon

316x316bb.webp

Kacey Johansing - Year Away

couple of delay months based on production rollout but she is finally on board to make a big bad girl energy splash. needless to say, she serves qualities over and over on new album by one of a kind songwriting that is a hymn on itself. not gonna be everyone's cup of tea with her pitches but impossible to dislike anything about her.

fav: Not the Same, Daffodils, Shifting Sands

316x316bb.webp

Hayden Casey - Asphodel

musical explore journey in hunty's albums is another reason why lo-fi bedroom self-made production could relate to listeners so much. he goes for ethereal alt r&b this time with downtempo beat and his signature sings. early morning vibe after all love scenes and drama throughout the night, remember take a shower before ******* thank you, please dont be sweaty pigs.

fav: &on&on, Focus, Dopamine

rushing through fall and halloween week where Q4 start to get interest before hell freeze over by good ol' mariah carey and brenda lee combo. poppy back on electronic is such a mistake, avant metal or noise rock should be her sound instead...

316x316bb.webp

Black Pumas - Chronicles of a Diamond

quite natural progression from debut to continue their psychedelic soul that got them attention at first place. with addition of blue rock, they mostly focus on sophistic arrangement which obviously got no concept in minds over weak songwriting bait fest. if grammy got some sense, they should pay them dust this time.

fav: Angel, Hello, Gemini Sun

316x316bb.webp

SIPHO. - PRAYERS & PARANOIA

getting more melodic more accessible music from him and here to prove his points again. contemporary soul presents in vein of modern preaches, all over the places production with his grating vocal goes 150% on every song. he must do that and he did, the album is full of flavors, ascendance, and spiritual fulfilled. whew lords.

fav: The Chemicals, Sober, Run for Your Life

316x316bb.webp

Robert Finley - Black Bayou

and he's back, grandpa 4th album takes a fun goofy ride to his country soul/gospel blue world that lively and meaningful. since country soul is quite popular genre this year, it's great addition for this album to fill right in the trend and all so smooth and easy listen than average even autopiloting at parts. time for outdoor dinner.

fav: Sneakin' Around, What Goes Around (Comes Around), You Got It (And I Need It)

316x316bb.webp

ML Buch - Suntub

acceptable decision to keep her indietronica (dated) at bay and straight to dream pop for her sophomore release with neo-psychedelia tagged. the rehash sounds and risky ideas kinda good listen for fall season where is lightly foggy atmospheric but warmth comfy feel. since visual is on point but slightly bad production, it's a pass.

fav: High Speed Calm Air Tonight, Fleshless Hand, Well Bucket

316x316bb.webp

WARGASM - Venom

they have been blew up in the scene for couple years now with energetic nu-metal singles including mixtape from last year. forward to latest installment, their synchronous chemistry between both vocals and clean modern nu-metal on major label production are better than ever, delivery on points, good nu-metal for a change.

fav: Venom, Do It So Good, S.A.D.

316x316bb.webp

V V Brown - Am I British Yet?

her resigning another career contract deep into late age despite everyone call her 'shark in the water' one hit wonder lady is indeed interesting. the 4th total studio album is matching the title as political spoken word on hip hop beats, pretty cohesive / aggressive statement on chill bong night music. her taste choice is cool.

fav: Black British, No Fear, Twisted

316x316bb.webp

Viji - So Vanilla

as title stated, it is what this album is about so here goes nothing. the debut full length album from her with triple EP released beforehand, there are collection of vanilla indie pop on electric guitar ala snail mail that especially curated for shopping playlists. of course billie ellish vocalism, soft pop for edgy tiktokers, well then.

fav: Sedative, Sundress in Pink, Say Hi

316x316bb.webp

Mayer Hawthorne - For All Time

practically this latest one from him is again just him being himself whether you like it or not, vintage west coast downtown luxurious lifestyle visual that recommend to play on vinyl for certain moments in album. smooth soul on satire autopiloting which actually uninspired overall and made for his longterm fans, midlife crisis is real.

fav: title track, Deeper Vibration, Without You

316x316bb.webp

Angie McMahon - Light, Dark, Light Again

aussie singer songwriter on sophomore hopeful acclaim in line for new high of her career. only issue that few people dont fancy her that much is her vocal which is old school 90's rock girl grating, meanwhile, the storyboard smoothly shifts between transitions plus with dramatic entertaining paces. decent but dull at times.

fav: Exploding, Letting Go, Saturn Returning

316x316bb.webp

Kasia Lins - OMEN

celebrating her own career defining decade anniversary with brand new 4th album from polish pop soul singer. homegirl definitely listens too many lana del ray albums which results as dynamic art pop production showcasing her reliable vocal and few good ideas in this. indie rock influence here also make her and this album stand out.

fav: Nieba nie ma, Anioł, title track

no i wont listen to jung kook thanks for question and we got filler week for catching up bunch of albums. dang.

316x316bb.webp

Cody Johnson - Leather

only reason he would get this rough demo quality album out is solely by competition among the scene. as much how pressure of other peers' success got to him (including jason aldean album this week), the random theme isnt that ambitiousness as his last but it's breezing chill easy listen for beer break after weekday's works.

fav: Work Boots, That's Texas, title track

316x316bb.webp

Sen Morimoto - Diagnosis

the downfall of bedroom pop artists sadly continues, everything about the genre is very 2018 so dated so boomer tiktok cringefest that was dead on pandemic period and yet few still cling to nostalgia moods. 4th studio album from him is almost the same as his famed 2nd album and completely out of idea here. go nu-jazz next pls.

fav: Bad State, Deeper, title track

316x316bb.webp

Hotline TNT - Cartwheel

and welcome to 2023 where indie pop/rock fans go woke and bandwagon the trendy slacker rock and slowcore with happy hearts. his sophomore lay out shoegaze chords as fundamental production over generic love song visual which is reasonable and quite solid in all aspects. the main alt choice from latest bar italia album.

fav: I Thought You'd Change, Spot Me 100, Out of Town

316x316bb.webp

IAN SWEET - SUCKER

obviously these songwriting skills has been on experience for her life time to put all her blood sweat and tear to this latest album. her monotonous vocal with dramatic passionate lyrics amazingly delivers all related emotions within visual contents. best believe this is her peak on this 4th album and peak again on next one for sure.

fav: title track, Comeback, Your Spit

316x316bb.webp

Tee Grizzley - Tee’s Coney Island

pretty entertaining outcome when his new installment absolutely go ham on comical bars and sound legit either. the main album and second project after his early mixtape on april just so unserious with MGK feat and double chris brown collab for some reason. his grinding is impressive, nailed on rapid squeaky beats, heated.

fav: Aint Nothing New, One of One, 3 Sports, Robbery 6

316x316bb.webp

Gong - Unending Ascending

lord knows that tons of classical rock era bands still live on and regularly perform live like good ol' days. countless albums in their discography provides ancient before time music space rock mixes on psychedelic elements and jazz instrumental in between. tripping on outer space as it should, gong for da bong.

fav: Asleep do we lay, ship of ishtar

316x316bb.webp

Semisonic - Little Bit Of Sun

surprise from time capsule left in 90's and rediscover as brand new album in double decades for them (no joking). once upon a time, pop rock used to be mainstream as go-to teen music and their then couple hits sound actually not different as in this album except grumpy aged moods and less melodic. nostalgia so sweet.

fav: title track, Keep Me In Motion, It Wasn’t Like We Hoped It Would Be

316x316bb.webp

Lol Tolhurst, Budgie & Jacknife Lee - Los Angeles

supergroup from The Cure, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Tired Pony members formed for fun little no band title album along several guests included. main genre is 80's post-punk on baroque pop and experimental rock which totally differ sounds between tracks. bit too raw production chore listen on bad execution, just for fun...

fav: title track, Everything and Nothing, Ghosted at Home

316x316bb.webp

Alice Et Moi - Photographie

french pop chanteuse breathe in breathe out over her sophomore album with h&m zara shopping playlisting. the sophomore release branches out from classic french pop to add modern nu-disco and synthpop for entertainment. far as it goes, she stays steady on mild and safe production to mediocre result as wallpaper music.

fav: Ça me va, title track, La dolce vita

316x316bb.webp

Jeezy - I Might Forgive... But I Don't Forget

one thing veteran rappers always force to be struggling old boomers when it comes to their new album is trap. jeezy doesnt care and keep it minimum only few tracks and the rest on his favorite beats, the 00's hip hop. comfortable state of career with good ol' haha bars and sound decent as ever. memorable autobiography.

fav: Rewrite History, Nothin to Prove, Titanic, My Intentions

various interesting releases from kid laroi, pinkpanteress, chris stapleton, chris brown, miss lola brooke debut album and more. when the tea is new red velvet on monday that is most anticipated of them all

316x316bb.webp

Aesop Rock - Integrated Tech Solutions

genius versatile rapper on latest installment as solo this time around and we are going conspiracy thoer... uh science fiction visual for entertain audience over his though process. abstract hip hop on his solid bars is turning any album good for everyone while there is room left for electronic beat or cheeky pacing than standard rap.

fav: Mindful Solutionism, Living Curfew, Bermuda, By the River

316x316bb.webp

quannnic - Stepdream

double-sworded on risk taking over his quick sophomore from fan favorite shoegaze debut from last year. That's because he switches up to noise rock/alt rock with shoegaze layering in the back and quite ambiguous visual where he doesnt know what to expect from these bad pacing production. dont rush it next time.

fav: South, Comatose, Rummage

316x316bb.webp

Beirut - Hadsel

prime example of an artist passed their prime and becomes carapace of old self with no return. his sixth album is fancy turn on chamber pop instead of folk that he's known for but same issue as solar power, its disastrous pace give frustrating feel instead of relax along floating atmospheric instrumental. completely hopeless.

fav: So Many Plans, Stokmarknes, The Tern

316x316bb.webp

BJ the Chicago Kid - Gravy

he must be fume inside somewhere whereas this album will serve zero impact to his career and in chart. absolute tragic on his 4th album being extra grammy baits and missing eligible period for this year. AC old school r&b that specifically made to hope for a gong, maybe voters lucky to not listen to this bad album in general.

fav: Spend The Night, Honey, Crazy Love

316x316bb.webp

Vyva Melinkolya - Unbecoming

following semi-popular album from mid year that made noise and she presents quick little album as a gift for her fans to celebrate her recent fame acclaim. lady gaga knows few things or two about slowcore and shoegaze that is on steady monotone paces but interesting on melodies. more post-rock influence than ambient on this.
fav: Song About Staying, I65, Bruise

316x316bb.webp

NTsKi - Calla

over-saturate market where every asian/japanese alt girls must hops on glitch pop/indietronica for stereotype fashion and whatever reason there is. however, if you got what's it takes to do the genre justice then melodies gotta be good and this is a yes. her sophomore hit all the streets and easy to fall in love with her vocal here.

fav: Leila, Atlantic Ocean, Field of Flowers

316x316bb.webp

Mon Laferte - Autopoiética

most of her popular nouns when introduces about her music is various genres in latin pop, she effortlessly pulls electronic and regional middle america representing traditional bolero while keeping it fresh throw modern beats even reggaeton or slap house, it sounds really creative and work so well for her. rosalia pale in comparison.

fav: NO+SAD, Tenochtitlán, 40 y MM

316x316bb.webp

Pure Bathing Culture - Chalice

years of experience in crafting perfect pop songs definitely show on their newest release as independence on their own. roxette's inspiration isnt holding them back at all with 80's dream pop with all other sub-genre pop as sophistic, jangle, neo-psychellidia pop. flawless transitioning, stellar smooth as cotton candy. lovely.

fav: The River, The Sun, The Fountain

316x316bb.webp

Cannons - Heartbeat Highway

when a band goes same sound every single album and everyone seem enjoy the hell of it, you dont have to change autopilot production at all when its formaliac is top notch. once again for this band, synthpop with ethereal nostalgia atmospheric as cover art that almost like one long song but that's good for them anyways.

fav: Crush, Bad Tattoo, title track

316x316bb.webp

Emily Vaughn - songs i couldn’t write

serving money laundering career for burning her own daddies money into her independent releases, predictable sophomore traction to show more mature side from extravagance outspoken debut to single songwriting alt girl whatever it's in trend atm. bland lyricism and bad choice of beat just for short coffee break background.

fav: is anybody happy?, tell me a lie, invented it (shameless lowercase, sis pls)
