skankle Posted May 25, 2022 Author Share Posted May 25, 2022 I kinda like the cover but only 4 new songs I agree nothing since has been as good as Kiddo (that's kinda AOTD so no big deal) but I liked Sway a lot regardless, this era is just underwhelming for me. Just default indie pop girl sounds. She's still a distinct presence vocally and I'm glad she's exploring her voice more (luv Hardcore) but still... disappointing overall! Also I feel a lot of her writing quirks have been ironed out for the worse so far. Like, the chorus of Say My Name has so much charm whereas the writing on Hard is just there.
