This. People need to go away with their stupid terms trying to pit people against each other. Like we legit dont give a damn.

Great generalization! Racists are everywhere, I don't consider myself european so take that somewhere else. Cute that you had to look up my location to attempt having an argument. Stay on topic
Bethenny Frankel Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Yes she is, she's been appropriating flamenco her entire career

I mean yes obviously the country is who was responsable but that logic is completely lack of sense Literally hahahaha americans are DUMB
EdgeofTeeth Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 this has always been such a stupid drag and the people who actually use it as justification to hate her are really ignorant

Kevin Parker Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 44 minutes ago, Protocol said: No because us Latinos do not degrade ourselves by considering us 'subjects' of a European country that hasn't had any dominion over us for literally 200+ years. She is not a colonizer because we are not colonized. WARS WERE FOUGHT over this. A lot of people died. We've been independent. It's old ancient history, no one is trying to be Spain or is bothered by Spain. Spanish artists and Latin American artists have been making music and collabing since recorded music started. When I was growing up the likes of Alejandro Sanz and La Oreja de Van Gogh were played alongside Latin American artists and no one gave a ****. No one gives a **** now either except for a loud minority on Twitter. Latin American artists are popular in Spain, influencing local culture and music there and are happy to do so because it's another market for them to get coin in. Rosalia isn't using anything as a costume, she is simply influenced by the music she grew up listening to (guess what, in Barcelona they play reggaeton at high school parties) and Latin American artists like Bad Bunny are INVITING HER TO COLLABORATE WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY LIKE HER. It's not rocket science. No one is being abused.

It’s interesting that this take only benefits a certain group of Latino’s, and seems to be only spoken aloud by a certain group, because I wonder if Afro-Latino’s, and other specific, ethnic minorities across Latin-America, would actually agree with this themselves. Nonetheless, I digress. 46 minutes ago, Protocol said: When I was growing up the likes of Alejandro Sanz and La Oreja de Van Gogh were played alongside Latin American artists and no one gave a ****. conquxror Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Well, if you would’ve asked me this last year when I couldn’t stand her ass, I would’ve said yes, she’s a colonizer, let’s drag her. But MOTOMAMI was a slay so now I love her and as a fellow latino I consent to be colonized by the te quiero ride como a mi bike songstress

Planet Mars Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Latin American culture is in itself only possible thanks to the "colonizers". The culture is a mixture of indigenous, African and European cultures. True to both central and South America in particular. You hear that in the music, in the Language and dialects and even in styles of dress. Latin America is diverse and has always been that way. But go off.
