Is Beyonce #TeamChappelle?

After 2 years of the media covering Dave Chappelle's anti-trans stance, why did Beyonce and Jay Z decide to show support?

I guess Madonna is #TeamChapelle too considering she was front row as well.

These peoples lives don’t revolve around Twitter buzz. They have personal relationships with one another. Didn’t Dave induct Jay into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Do you share 100% of the views of your acquaintances? Like go off, but think about it for a second.

Unlikely since it was a Netflix festival / Emmy FYC event, not a Chapelle gig, he was literally just one of 60+ comedians doing a straight 15

Yes, absolutely and she’s rightfully getting dragged but why isn’t Bey and her husband?

I wouldn’t be shocked. Beyoncé’s feminism is…odd, to say the least. I doubt she’s transphobic, but she gives me “I have a gay best-friend even though my boyfriend is homophobic” vibes the way she’s kind of a bird whenever it comes to Jay-Z. Also, most celebrities who are feminists are rich people before they are feminists/activists.

You don't know what Beyoncé thinks about Chapelle, that is something her husband said and even that was posted here, he didn't say he agrees with what Chapelle said or did, he said he was regrettable because he views him as a genius.

You made a conjecture with very little information. Also the fact that one person likes an artist's work doesn't mean they share the same views.

Man you sure do know her a lot and her relationship. That's fantastic.

These are all assumptions from the information she’s given the public regarding her relationship with her husband + the homophobic lyrics her husband has put out (whilst dating Beyoncé). I never claimed to know either personally, so stop acting holier than thou like as if these billionaires don’t endorse speculation to further their own celebrity.

I agree and she’s seen as this feminist icon after Lemonade when all she did was talk sh*t on an album to end up back with a cheater? Bird behaviour.

You just know she says the *** behind closed doors but I don't think she's transphobic at all.

She's never wished him a happy birthday and ATRL usually considers that a sign of whether she likes someone or not so :duck:

Nobody is acting holier than anything, she talked about her husband's infedelity and her forgiving him, that doesn't make her a bird, the whole album is geared toward forgiveness but hey.

It doesn't matter anyway some of you peddle the same arguments from thread to thread (cause this comment from you I have already seen) and just wait for the perfect occasion to place them and spew hatred. Good.

It is also funny to put men's sins on a woman. Anyway carry on...

I love Bey but please if you really believe any woman who forgives cheating is not a bird. It’s giving insecurity, neediness and emotional + physical attachment, it’s embarrassing for all parts involved. She’s still better off than all of us tho so doesn’t really matter

No, I don't. It really depends. Just like I don't believe men who forgive cheating are birds either. I also didn't get the whole discussion about Will Smith but yes, different opinions.

Edit : either way I don't see why monsters are talking about it in a Chappelle's thread and all the time but whatever.

I think a lot of people are, cause he makes jokes about every community and not rallying people up.

People should channel this energy to actual dangerous people.

They want everyone to agree with them while the beauty of freedom is to have multiple of ideologies/opinions without the fear of endangerment.

+ Dave didn’t spew hate speech, just made a joke while also paid respect to his lost trans friend.
