Speak Now is probably the next one, considering that it's easier to replicate organic sounds.

LOL, it's actually 1989

People thinking Speak Now TV is coming when she is dropping the 2nd song from 1989 TV and there’s a legal conflict with Speak Now TV.

There's a legal conflict with 1989 as well unless they finally settled the Shake It Off lawsuit:rip:

Wait what? What legal conflict?

I feel like if she releases 1989 next, nobody will care afterwards for SN and self titled. I may be wrong though.

The legal issue with Speak Now was a trademark issue for merchandising and marketing, not releasing the music - and it seems with today’s merch announcement that it’s been resolved or was never actually a major obstacle in the first place.

Oh wow really? So she’s good to use it now?

She could be releasing This Love just to hold everyone waiting on 1989 over, she might be releasing Speak Now next.

Speak Now is the TV I’m most excited for too, so either way I win. :gaylorcat2:

She was unable to use the "TV" part of Speak Now as in Speak Now TV, because of a British company called OnePlus. I don't think it's been resolved yet which is why she was able to release merch as just Speak Now.

It actually doesn’t have to do with “TV” at all since that’s mostly a fan-used abbreviation for the very distinct phrase “Taylor’s Version.” The center of the conflict mostly comes from the phrase “Speak Now,” as OnePlus released or are releasing a service with the same name on some of their television products - basically, you “speak now” to tell the TV to do something, as it refers to voice activation functions. They filed for the trademark last year, before the original Speak Now trademark expired; Taylor filed not for the same thing, but specifically for “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).” The US Patent & Trademark Office still believes there to be some manner of possible confusion between voice activation functions on a television called “Speak Now” and a Taylor Swift music album called “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” - which, of course, is stupid and wrong, but it has caused a tangle of appeals and red tape nonetheless. It she’s able to release any Speak Now merchandise at all, then I would take this as a sign that the trademark situation being unresolved does not actually stop her from selling and marketing that merchandise. It could have other implications for the music release, I’m certainly no legal expert, but that feels unlikely to me.

She could sue them first since Speak Now is Out since 2010.
