Right? There were a few but it's a very sad show. There is a hard-hitting emotional moment in almost every episode, and I get the sense they are written that way on purpose.

In ep 1 when he gets a text and throws up, ep 3 when he yells at his friend for going to a dinner party, ep 4 when the therapist reads him to filth, ep 5 when he freaks about the guy's D being too big, ep 6 when he freaks out about the fart, etc.

It's the depth and the layers for me.

It's good. Idk what else are u guys expecting? More jokes? More emotional scenes? It's supposed to be this way, not everything is super funny or sad in real life. This is actually very relatable :clap3:

I really liked it, hope they get renewed for multiple seasons, the final scene was a great way to wrap the season :clap3:

I watched it. I really enjoyed it. It feels like a real story being told, very relatable. I hope they get renewed.

Nice. Adjusted to the Nielsen method, that's about 1.3 million viewers. :clap3:

So I watched the first 4 episodes, I had no idea it was a Darren Star and I immediately guessed from the first minutes since I love 'Sex and the City', the show is great basically a gay version, I'm enjoying it so far.

This show has a lot of heart and I really enjoyed it. Hoping for a 2nd season

It was nice, nothing special, some cringy scenes but I enjoyed it a lot. Ending spoiler:

This was cute I guess, but...

I'm ngl I was cackling at the show pushing the concept of NPH being hung. It's just not believable

I'm kinda into this being a more mature gay show featuring middle-aged men. I hate to sound pick-me (especially since I'm neither middle-aged nor gay :toofunny3:) but I feel like with so much of Netflix's gay film/TV being about teenagers and college-aged people I kinda appreciate the change of pace by featuring something more mature(? maybe an odd way to put it but idk how else to describe it)

that being said I enjoyed the show in general. I found myself annoyed with Michael a lot bc of the amount of times he wrecked things that were going well for him by getting in his head about Colin. I get that it was to show how he was still processing his split but at the same time he lost out on SO much

also PLEASE Netflix renew this series if only to resolve that cliffhanger

I'm trying to connect, but I'm finding it a little hard. It's got a great cast, and the premise is okay enough. And I absolutely agree that it's nice to see a show about a more mature group of people and not about high school/college kids. But of course, the cast has to be about the rich and beautiful, primped and based in New York.

And also, kudos to Neil for not letting too much of Barney seep into Michael. There are a few moments where he uses Barney's inflection, but overall, he's doing a great job.

I was forced to watch this at a friend's place anddd I can say I didn't enjoy it at all. Mainly due to the fact i couldn't latch onto or root for the main character in any way. Also the writing was very stereotypical, nothing ground breaking, and the jokes weren't landing. It was very cringeworthy to me, Tisha couldn't save this I fear! :doc:

I’m on 1x04 but I just can’t stop thinking about this being the gay parody of Carrie and SATC/AJLT.

NPH is like mimicking SJP with the same line delivery, expressions and gestures, then Stanley even works in a gallery and the tv news friend is a sex doll like Samantha.

There’s a few funny jokes but mostly for Trisha, the one liners from NPH and his squad sound forced and then the other competitor at this work also acts like a parody.

It’s not a baaaad show but it feels generic, like it doesn’t feel like it has production value, the apartments feel lifeless inside, the fashion/costumes is basic for all of them and there’s not a lot of exteriors is just clubs, flats or restaurants, at least Emily in Paris felt bigger in a way and had more budget.

Will finish the season but if they pull a S2 they better step up their ass.

Just a bunch of one-liners strung together to make dialogue.

It’s cute but there is no wow factor to it. Low key flopping on Netflix too.

This is so true lmaoo. I still watched all of it though.
