Do you agree? Should the large audience of fifteen year old girls that follow the Rude Hours chanteuse do ketamine?

i’ve done ketamine in a clinical setting, it was very helpful.

I don’t know about ketamine but some psychedelics are used as medicine.

But obviously it will never be embraced in a mainstream level.

Plant based solutions are the end of a lot of corporations

He's right

I don't doubt psychedelics can help. I'm 100% in favor. I don't think telling his teenage audience to do psychedelics is a good idea, though.

If you have genes for schizophrenia, you don’t want to go there.

I think it's actually healthy to propose alternatives to SSRIs, big pharma needs to invest in some new ****.

No matter the medical validity of anything that’s being said, why would he post this on his public Twitter page? What business does he have giving medical advice to impressionable young people online… I am certain he has more private socials he can discuss personal opinions like this :biblio:

Exactly my point. Same goes for Elon Musk, btw. He doesn't have an impressionable audience but I just don't think his word is qualified and his audience is too big and unhinged to spread information that hasn't been thoroughly vetted.

With that said, I do think finding alternatives to big pharma is necessary. Just... perhaps not pushed by NFT bros, Elon Musk, and Liam Payne.

he’s such a loser both of them actually

He hasn’t been hot since he (and we) were teenagers. That hardly counts :foxaylove2:

a lot of the research on therapy + hallucinogens seems really promising. but the problem is that SSRIs, SNRIs, and similar drugs are cheap, in docs' comfort zones of prescribing practices, relatively benign, and overall have a favorable risk-reward ratio compared to many other treatment options. Despite what anecdotes online would lead some to believe, antidepressants are pretty safe and worth a shot to help someone really battling anxiety and/or depression

There are a lot of plant- based diets/medicine out there to cure all illness.

This is not good for lets say pharmaceutical corporations so they hide it as much as they can.

How was it if you don’t mind me asking, do you mind elaborating on the experience?

This. I didn’t think I’d find this comment here. Everyone should know their ancestral mental health history before they go down this road.

Psychedelics (especially psilocybin/shrooms) have no business being illegal, medicinally or recreationally.

It continues to be a tragedy that so many people continue to be ignorant about these substances.

idk, this is giving me "there's a cure for cancer but big pharma is hiding it!" level of delusion / conspiracy

however I am open to being proven wrong if you have any examples or receipts

My personal experience is that I was cured with plants with severe anxiety/depression, no drug could do it. But that is anecdotal.

I would recommend reading books about Tao diets and ancient Chinese medicine, but again is my personal experience.

There’s people that have been cured from cancer and lupus with plant based diets. But honestly I would recommend you to do your own research set your goals and experiment with it.

There’s a lot of conspiracy of “the government is killing us with pharma” theories but honestly it’s all grey, there’s some true in it, but it’s exaggerated by lunatics.

So you gotta set your own journey cause it’s the only way to go. But in my experience there’s a lot of truth in it.

Modern medicine is centered on very strict criteria of evidence. I do not mean to take away from your experience (or anyone else's), but anecdotes are meaningless in medicine. Your success with treating your anxiety and depression with plants is not proof that they work.
