If one trailer about a comedy film could give ''all the actual funny parts'' away, then the actual film itself might have a big problem imo.

Dark Phoenix Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 The trailer was cute but none of the jokes were funny, is the same dummy lines in the style of the GotG3, Shazam 2, Peacemaker kinda humor. And sorry but Ryan looks too crusty vs Margot who is 10 years younger, I’ll be watching but yeah this could backfire.

Littlejfrey Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Why are some users so offended because people think the trailer is boring? it's not that deep...
Dark Phoenix Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 How comes that half of the cast of Sex Education is here?
GipJo Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 i blame Warner and its ongoing finical crisis, they must be unable to afford competent trailer editor, it shows with their strings of boring trailers.
fountain Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Unfortunately that was a bad trailer… but I’m still hopeful for the actual movie. The potential is there, I just really hope they commit to the commentary.
Jessie Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 The trailer is fine but again it’s serving Enchanted level satire without the twist of actually showing Barbie in the real world. See also the trailer for Elf. It‘s such an easy comedy sell but they seem to want to show off the colourful visual gags of ‘Barbieland’ instead as a hook Super Mario Bros style. Also why is Margot still using that accent? We’ll see how it shakes out with audiences in the end.
okgo Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) Underwhelming teaser but the film might still deliver, there's so much hype that I don't think it hurts much as long as the rest of the promo is solid tbh Edited April 4, 2023 by okgo
ICLDXU4HS Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I’ll be nice and say that the look, feel and humor displayed in the trailer are going to make this a hit amongst girls aged 5-10.
TheCheshireCat Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 That trailer was not it, lol. Hopefully this will be like M3gan where I hated the trailer at first but the movie itself was quite funny.
kayliah Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 that was awful. w directors rarely do well with bid budget zhao, duvernay and jenkins and the list goes on. thers a pattern here.
Jotham Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I thought the trailer was cute tbh! I'm surprised a lot of people didn't like it.

Baby Judas Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 what's the main demographic for this movie? this doesn't look like a movie for kids. Looks like its main demo are gays in their 20s, pushing 30s.

They're not going to give the whole plot away in the teaser trailer We are three months out and this is the second trailer we have after the Avatar teaser that every outlet will be pushing — this will for all intents and purposes act as the big showreel for most people and it’s at best serving scattershot energy.
mar Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 its crazy to me that some of u think this is not gonna be successful... there are some cases of ATRL delusion around here...

i spit on haters Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Looks a corny mess. So glad I opted out of this movie. I too was offered a role but it conflicted with my schedule at the time of filming. I really dodge a bullet with this one.
