Puttanesca Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Finally watched it and teared up multiple times throughout. It captured so much of the female experienceย
Junho_lover Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Woohoo movie deserves all of the success! I gotta see it again.
pxxxtrick Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Finally saw this last night and LOVED it. The entire cast was amazing, but Margot, Ryan, Emma Mackey >>>
FameFatale Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 I saw it last night and I thought it was alright. I think the last half drug a little too long.ย 1
Lost In Paradise Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 finished my full Barbenheimer yesterday and .... I thought both films were good, not great. neither deserved the hype they got at all imo. ย I can't help but think the massive praise that Barbie gets is mainly due to people feeling like they're "on the right side of herstory" by supporting and gagging over this film. it had some fun moments but it's not profound or as heartwarming as Gerwig's other films.

Kรครคrijรค Posted August 7, 2023 Posted August 7, 2023 Too many ''haha men are dumb'' feminist takes for me. I get it that they are trying to explain to us that that is how women felt when they were treated like they were less than men, but many people, specially female, who go and see the movie don't realise about the latter.ย 7

Smarticle Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 finally went to the theatres for this, this was lowkey overhyped af but i think that was due to the marketing of it some of the dialogue on patriarchy and feminism was a bit too on-the-nose, but loved the emotional parts and America Ferrara's speech near the end i felt like they could've developed her daughter's character a bit more too, it was kinda surface level ย Spoiler i don't really understand barbie wanting to become human at the end ? but it was a cute ending on discovering yourself, esp with Barbie and Ken trying to discovering their place in the world, but i didn't really see the journey for her lol 2 1
