Heartbreak Prince Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Margot and Ryan were phenomenal, really loved this!
ALA Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Enjoyed the movie more on 2nd viewing  A Cinemascore 1
Kylizzle Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 A Cinemascore is proof it wasn't as radically feminist as some people suggested tbh 1

Cheers Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 I’m sad this is over. I’ve been anticipating it for so long and now it’s done. Summer is over   Does anyone else feel like this after a big event is done lol 6
Gossip_Boy Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 I was expecting A- cinemascore so A is excellent. $400M+ domestic is so happening.  Theatre was packed last night. First time I’ve been to a theatre this packed in the UK lol. Seeing it again tomorrow  (and then seeing it for a 3rd time next weekend). 1

Jotham Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Such a good movie! I came in with high expectations and was still blown away. Â Also, wow there was so much hype for the movie when I was there. Everyone was dressed up for the movie, the audience was very reactive, etc. I haven't seen this much excitement for a movie since Star Wars Episode VII. And unlike Star Wars this was just for one standalone movie.

I think the movie should’ve really explored the America Ferrera character fully and gave us some more context as to why Barbie was important to her, similar to how the Lindsay Lohan and Tyra Banks connection was focused on in Life-Size. This was one of my only complaints about the movie. I feel like the "real world" part of the film was rushed and they could've done more to develop America's character and the daughter.
Rocket Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Secured my Ken fashions from Mattel Creations. Â Spoiler Â
EnterTheAttic Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 The movie was amazing! I laughed so much! The settings were out of this world! Ans the last scene with Billie's song made me so emotional! A highlight for me was America's monologue in Weird Barbie's house. A powerful moment! 1
Cain Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Omg this is the first time I went to a movie and half the people were dressed up?? Like everyone was in hotpink minidresses and denim  The audience cheered after America’s rant/speech and they laughed so hard at the I Am Kenough shirt  What an experience 2

Gwendolyn Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Ok so the movie has marinated in my brain and the liked has changed to Loved. Thinking about it deeper, it made me emotional in some parts. The sets were amazing and the jokes were on point for the majority, if not all, of the time. The Kenergy is off the charts - 8/10. 3 1
Blade Runner Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Sadly, I didn't like Barbie THAT much. I just hate when movies are extra preachy and too obvious with its messages. The whole experience was kinda exhausting.  I loved Margot, Ryan, Isa, the first 20 minutes, and the production value, of course.  A 6/10 for me.  Other than that, I still want this movie to make 598593688960930636 dollars. Rooting hard for it. 1
Blade Runner Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 The ending tho. Absolutely brilliant. That last sentence was genius. jsfffkk 1
