magicfever Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 I don‘t know the last time i enjoyed a movie that much. Truly amazing, constantly funny and a pure sugar rush. Spoiler I guess the scene leading up to Billie‘s song could have been shorter but i enjoyed it. And the theater was PACKED 1
KKW Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Just got back and I loved it. Watched it with my sister and mom so it just made the ending more impactful honestly 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯Wow i wasnt expecting it to be the best movie of the decade, but this was literally perfect camp fun😆 I haven’t laughed in a theater so much! This was an event film that lived up to the hype 1
BMURDA617 Posted July 20, 2023 Posted July 20, 2023 Saw this today. Incredible! The best I've ever seen Margot. I got pretty emotional at the end - something I was not expecting, especially given what a pink fun fantasy this is. 1
Subversive Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Loved it such a blast and so pleasing to the eye. Also got me emotional at the end like every good classic comedy 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Also the Meta Jokes Spoiler Zach Snyder Fans getting a Killshot🤣The Narrator stopping the movie multiple times🤣 1
justin. Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Just got home from seeing it, and Greta Gerwig has not disappointed met yet! Margot was outstanding, and the emotion she conveyed during some scenes really made me feel teary eyed myself. Spoiler When they first got to the real world, and Barbie was uncomfortable with everyone staring at her and said there was a tone of violence in the way men were looking at her... I felt such a lump in my throat. I think this is going to be one of the more underrated scenes, especially since it was such a quick moment, but I really felt her pain of discovering that people (mainly men) can be dangerous and violent toward women. There are so many quick little moments throughout the movie that really touched my heart. And of course, the end made me emotional. Cannot wait to watch it again! 1
TaylorNation Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 (edited) watched it tonight and thought it was incredibly smart and well written. very funny too! I enjoyed it a lot but is it this incredible groundbreaking masterpiece people are making it out to be? not really I was absolutely SCREAMING that they had to play Speed Drive TWICE because the song is so short though.. an absolute travesty and also Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken took me OUT Edited July 21, 2023 by TaylorNation
BeachRat Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 (edited) iconic, show stopping, never been done before, an instant cult classic. for the gheys and the girlies ONLY. they devoured. we stan forever. i laughed, i cried, i danced, i had fun and also i smoked a jo*nt before entering. highly recommended. so clever, well written and directed. mwah chefs kiss! Spoiler DEAD at it basically being the matrix in pink. i am DEAD. this completely captured the feel good feeling of all the 00s movies in a so fresh and bold new age way. was it perfect no? but no one and nothing should be! 😌😉 Edited July 21, 2023 by BeachRat 2
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Woah. This film surprised me in many good ways. (Dua Lipa being there for more than 5 seconds, make it 6 ) Most of all, I wasn’t expecting America Ferrera to devour the way she did And we need to start the push for Margot Robbie’s Best Actress Oscar win because she was PHENOMENAL my god
ctlp27 Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Quick Review Such a cool film. Smart. Funny. Moving. not sure I’d want to rewatch because a lot of the good thing came from our surprising this movie is from start to finish. Got a huge smile on all the first part of the movie. kudos: - the whole cast giving their 1000% - Michael cera - the soundtrack being actually in the movie - Greta and Margo playing the blockbuster studio and keeping their own soul and artistry

Orsay Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 loved it! so much i could say but i think the way they handled Ken was really smart and Ryan was hilarious and perfect in the role Spoiler the part when the SJW’d teen calls her a fascist then she says “I’m not a fascist, I don’t control transportation and the means of production” or something there were a lot of smart lines like this, really well done movie
CottageHore Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Just saw this. Um… it’s so good. The social commentary, the connections to every aspect of society and human conditioning. The humor. The self-references. This exceeded all my expectations and tbh I didn’t know what to expect. I am already certain I’ll be seeing it in theaters again
halcyonday Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 I dressed up in pink and will be watching it again today

Mellark Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Seeing it tomorrow. I haven't been excited to step into a theater to watch something... since I don't know... The Little Mermaid?
BOOMBAYAH Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Feminism was very shallow and heavy-handed, but the way the world is turning against feminism and with the rise of the alt-right, it's major win to have a smash feminist film
Aethereal Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 Heading for $4M-7M opening weekend in China. If it overperforms by opening in the 6M-7M range, I can see it entertaining the 20M total figure in the long run considering the audience is rating it high. The positive ratings score is a good sign of longevity. China's box office is very frontloaded and everything will be seen and done within 4 weeks though. Not bad, I can say. 1
