EnigmaticAndroid Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) The way ATRLers constantly go on about camp serves but are saying this looks too silly, stupid, confused, etc. Like idc if people sincerely don't like the trailer but y'all said you wanted camp and here it is Edited April 4, 2023 by EnigmaticAndroid

Barbie is a huge brand. this movie will be G, PG at most. doesn't mean the movie will be for kids, it will be for everyone. kinda like what Shrek does which has some crude humor and suggestive content but made in a way that only adults would understand. G rating? The trailer already has multiple innuendos that would warrant a PG rating. The MPAA doesn’t give out G ratings to many movies.
DoubleRainbow! Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 This looks great Wasn’t Saoirse Ronan on this?

FENTY. Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Why tf didn’t they clear Aqua’s Barbie Girl like howww
chris1991 Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 GP is about to eat this up! I’m a fan! Seems like a lot of fun which people like specially in theaters these days!
LuneMon Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 It doesn't look too promising, but I think Greta Gerwig will do a good job as usual. Let's wait for the next trailers.
Drowned8World Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 i think you all are over reacting as always. This is supposed to feel "silly" and campy. Let's remember they're still in "Barbieworld" in that teaser and then they move to the real world.

Quote The PG-13 comedy film's plot can be summarized as a journey of self-discovery. Barbie is kicked out of Barbieland for being unconventional and breaking the rules of what a doll is supposed to look/act like. She goes on a quest to the real world, where she realizes that the concepts of perfection and happiness are not in line with what she previously thought and has to save Barbieland before it's too late. https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/everything-we-know-about-barbie-movie-greta-gerwig-margot-robbie-ryan-gosling Quote Is the Barbie movie rated R? Barbie is set to be rated PG-13. We imagine it will be a tongue-in-cheek and irreverent film directed more adults and big kids than little ones. https://www.radiox.co.uk/news/tv-film/barbie-release-date-trailer-cast-age-rating-reviews/

Jotham Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Okay, even Twitter seems to be enjoying the trailer. ATRLers are just unpleasable.
Bosque Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) It looks really good to me, not sure what everyone was expecting? Greta Gerwig has done no wrong so far Also it is heavily hinted that 80% of the movie takes place after Barbie and Ken leave Dreamland so like... why are people in here talking about the plot and direction of the movie? You know absolutely nothing about what's going to happen Edited April 4, 2023 by Dephira
hétérosexuelle Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 (edited) I was so excited for this But this trailer is a BOMB The hell is this script and these “jokes”? Terrible, and Ryan looks older than what Ken should look like Edited April 4, 2023 by hétérosexuelle
futurenostalgic Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 Yeah, it was an okay trailer at best. also we using twitter now as barometer for quality and fun? they have been hyped for this since casting and director announcement - they would praise anything about this project
Cheers Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I feel like Margot is always in films with a lot of hype that end up disappointing
Euterpe Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 This movie was made for people like me who had countless Barbies growing up and are adults now. I'm going to bring my mom to watch this with me.
Dr. Alexander Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Parents who snuck their child in for this film are going to be upset when they see Barbie get sexually assaulted…
Smarticle Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 the adult jokes.. i thought this was a classy party
