It kept the female perspective of feminism pretty simple (yet effective imo) because the more depth on the Ken side of things woild have made the movie far too muddled and complicated while trying to attack too many topics. Idk, I thought that perfect balance of the two made the movie fun and enjoyable for everyone, basically a living example that Barbie is for everyone and everyone can enjoy Barbie, the movie, the toy and the message.

This is it. I swear anyone complaining just needs to stop and think about the film more.

Be careful. If you don’t love the movie you’ll get downvoted in here. :gaycat7:

You were right  Despite my critique being very mildly stated, some user still downvoted. And they didn't even quote and engage with my argument, so I'm not sure what they're even downvoting

I loved BJG’s take on this movie, if you have the time this is a pretty good listen, and is a decent left wing take on the movie.

750M WW by the end the second weekend.

Mario did 693M in comparison.  Very likely the highest grossing movie of the year and the highest grossing WB movie ever.

This’ll probably end up making up for the loss of Dolby show at major chains to Haunted Mansion.

It also shows how much Barbie is suffering from capacity issues. Too much demand, not enough seats.

750 M in a week is NUTS

Just saw this and thought it was one of the boldest, most creative big studio films I've ever seen. Greta brought her A game and really created something special. :jonnycat:

While I had a few qualms here and there, it's still an excellent film. :jonnycat:

So I saw mission impossible last night (which was FUN) and then went to go see if I'd like Barbie on a second view (I have a movie pass) and I watched a few minutes. The narrator is Introducing the barbie and she's like and "there's Alan... He's just Alan. There's just one of him" the I'm like ugh and walked out and remembered how anti man this crap was. I dunno when the spice girls did feminism girl power thing they never had to man bash to make their points. It was fun and enjoyable. I liked that better. Glad I left.

Didn't you already watch the movie last week and post about it?

So did you watch it again or forget to log into an alt? :sistrens:

Lol no, but I was just pointing out to that user that you explicitly said you already saw it. They thought they were making a point by finding your old post, but they just have a reading comprehension problem :rip:

Ironic that you used Alan as an example of the film being anti male when he's literally one of the men who was an ally to the women :rip:
