Kylizzle Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:36 PM But the internet told me this will flop and be panned because of bad lighting
Chemist Posted Tuesday at 08:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:40 PM 93% with 95 reviews. Unlikely that goes below 90%
Thuggin Posted Tuesday at 08:42 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:42 PM Was hoping for high 70s on Metacritic but we'll take it. Guess Jon needs to up the Contrast for those finnicky color/lighting stans for Part 2
LadyDiana Posted Tuesday at 08:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:45 PM Ugh can't wait to see it. Saw the musical in london this summer, liked it!

judasmonster Posted Tuesday at 08:46 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:46 PM the way everyone on reddit/twitter had been doubting this and being negative toward it and the cast only to prove them wrong and have this much acclaim is satisfying 3

Plus, Gaga has had her moment WITH an Oscar nod and this could be Ari's first time so there's nothing to scuff at. Edited Tuesday at 08:49 PM by Doctor Dick
Mystic Warrior Posted Tuesday at 08:49 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:49 PM 2 minutes ago, fridayteenage said: 72 Metascore Generally Favorable Metacritic has an odd rating system. None of their reviews for Wicked are negative and the majority are positive, whereas Wicked is sitting at 93% off 100 reviews and a 99% audience score on RT. Audience scores are what people look for for word of mouth anyway, so universal acclaim is an appropriate term. 6 3

Hector Posted Tuesday at 08:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:55 PM Critically acclaimed smash! Definitely Ariana's year

Saintlor Posted Tuesday at 08:58 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:58 PM (edited) I'm still not sure what to think. I will be watching, but the Barbie hype was huge and it was praised as an emotional masterpiece but the film ended up not being good at all It almost seems like the Wicked team have copy and pasted everything about the Barbie promo/hype but done a little more. levi_valvi Posted Tuesday at 08:58 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:58 PM reading the reviews and it's not really universal acclaim for ariana, we need a real good campaign for the oscar nod to happen

jjmed59 Posted Tuesday at 09:00 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:00 PM THE HYPE ALL SUDDENLY FEELS EXTREMELY PALPABLE AHH MY FAV IS PART OF A CERTIFIED FILM EVENT

Bloggers who screams masterpiece at every new movie downgrade RT real power. Metacritic is much more balanced with its pool and it's always more interesting to check it than RT. 1

That was always going to be an uphill battle. It's her first movie and a fantasy one at that. People were predicting this to bomb. Let's be happy it will probably be a commercial hit 2
Kylizzle Posted Tuesday at 09:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:06 PM Obsessed Ariana haters swore this would flop and be panned but it's about to be her 2nd movie with a Best Picture nom.

Get a grip, the movie is acclaimed and it's doing good, move on and stop trying to ruin the mood for people
Raspberries Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:07 PM Ariana doesn't need to get into BSA for this to be a win for her. It's going to be a big hit and she is getting decent to good reviews Not everything needs to be Oscar nominated to be good for the actor's career 2
