Jude Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 (edited) Apparently one song is called "Girl in a Bubble" which is sang by Ariana, another one is sang by Cynthia. Edited November 29, 2024 by Jude 1
Augmented Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 Wow wow wow! Where do I even start? I'll preface by saying I've always loved the musical since the first moment I got to watch it on Broadway. It was a gift in itself that I even got the opportunity to experience it due to growing up with financial struggles so I'll probably always have a bit of a bias towards the show I have an obnoxiously long review I wanted to post but you guys do not want to read that I'll sum it up by saying the movie is phenomenal! Incredibly faithful to the musical whilst giving some moments a breath of new life, the cast did a phenomenal job with some award worthy performances and apart from some of the odd lighting/visual choices, the movie is a cinematic feast for the eyes. The film does such a fantastic job of handling the sociopolitical commentary and it's sort of scary how relevant it continues to reflect our current climate. Bravo (I only cried twice whilst watching so I'll class that as an achievement for myself as well ) 6

Thuggin Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 It's really infuriating seeing people's commentary on Ariana and Cynthia. If people find them cringe in their interviews just because they get emotional about their experience on set together, whatever...I find everyone's reactions definitely mean spirited but social media looks for people to make fun of and it's nothing new. However, people INSISTING that Ariana and Cynthia are anorexic based only on how they look and then getting even more mad at them for "not admitting how bad they look and trying to make having an ED seem okay" is sick. I'm so so tired of it. Oh but it's okay because the Internet has deemed them "problematic" and so no holds barred, the most vicious bullying is suddenly okay! 7 1
Femininomenon Posted November 29, 2024 Posted November 29, 2024 I finally saw it in IMAX yesterday at Universal City Walk and it was the best thing ever, a lot of people were sobbing by the end of the movie and kept there sitting in shock the whole sold out theater clapped at the end so it made the whole experience even better, this is the way this movie is supposed to be seen 7 1
