Thuggin Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Right wing media is currently losing their minds over Ariana saying some characters in Oz might be a little gay. Not even movies based off BROADWAY plays are allowed to be a little gay now 1 7
Babydoll. Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 soooooo ososooosososososo good so much fun. cynthia really is that girl during the musical scenes. ariana was on fire the whole time too she was perfect for this. exceeded my expectations !! 3
Jude Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 An estimated 15.8M usd for Tuesday gross domestic. A bit disappointing but this might be due to Moana and Gald2 taking some slots. 1
Evans Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I just got back from watching it. What a movie. Cynthia and Ariana ate this **** up I've never seen the Broadway show, so everything was very new to me. The first hour I was like, 'Okay, this is fun, this is cute,' but Spoiler then the ballroom scene at Ozdust happened—that's when the movie clicked for me and had me in a chokehold until the end. Easily one of my favorite movies and one of the best theater experiences. Amazing 4
Thuggin Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Hurricane Moana coming to stomp all over Wicked's second week I fear That and Gladiator still taking up so many of the premium showings and that's before we even get to Mufasa 2
Relampago. Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 This movie was mega slay It did not feel like nearly 3 hours and usually I'm perched for a movie to end so I can go home 4
family.guy123 Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Does anyone know if Ari has a promo blitz planned for Japan? I could see that help to do numbers over there for its eventual release over there.
laqqinq Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 It was beautiful! I have never seen the musical so the movie and story, characters, etc. were completely fresh and new to me. Cynthia really served this movie well with her role. She was great! Ariana was great as Glinda, and they both worked very well as a duo! Jonathan Bailey was pretty amazing too! And hats off to John M. Chu, the writers, visuals, and story. Looking forward to part 2! 2
Liafen Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 "What is this feeling?" It's called being a lesbian, ladies 10
Nashe Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 went for my 2nd time yesterday night literally obsessed 3
Jude Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Prediction improved from $15.8M to $16.4M from Tuesday dom BO. 3
Donquizote Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Now that Moana 2 is not well received, I think this movie can have longevity at bo 2
KingWitch Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Whose idea was it to make such big gaps between the international release dates? The international gross looks horrible because of this
Slate Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 You'll be popular... Just not quite as popular as MEEEEEEEEEEE! 1
Jude Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I want them to perform a medley at the Oscars or a full defying gravity performance. It's gonna be a memorable one if they nail it. 1
Jude Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Not confident about Ari hitting those notes in NOMTW live in front of Oscars audience so maybe she can lip some of them.
Jude Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 Spoiler I cry everytime I remember this scene. And the fact that they both ad-libbed this was insane. 1

Plus Fiyero is definitely bi in the film. 1
Donquizote Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 UK stans hard. Smash at box office and soundtrack is doing great too. Praying that both Ari and Cynthia get nominated at BAFTA.

Miss Anthropocene Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 On my 2nd watch last night I definitely saw No On Mourns The Wicked in a different way, the subtle pain in Glindas face I was a blubbering mess at the very beginning Her face when she had to throw the torch onto the straw witch 3
