I'm confused. How is Defying Gravity doing 1M WW at #22? Did I turn into Lea Michele or what? :deadbanana4:

My predictions (so far) are:

250M in the US

150M outside the US

400M end total.

This is so insanely wrong.

It'll be near or past 200m in the US alone by this weekend.

It is DEFINITELY passing 500m WW with ease and could climb as high to 700-800m.

December 6th for China. Doubt it'll do well there.

$400M seems too small especially when it's already predicted to go over $200M dom after the next weekend due to Thanksgiving. No way it'll just lose most of its legs all of a sudden especially that holiday is coming. $500M is what should it be doing minimum global wise, $800M max imo.

Probably underestimated it's numbers in the US. But I still see it's total being around the numbers of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, which did 300M in the US and 150M outside the US.

https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Beetlejuice-Beetlejuice-(2024)#tab=box-office

Maybe the fact that this is thanksgiving week, it will add another 50M in the US? could be. But I don't see it pass 350M US + 200M outside TBH

I'm sorry, but DUNE2 did 710M WW and that was with it being MUCH MUCH BIGGER outside the US (420M), ain't no way that is the case now, it is not touching 250M outside the US)

It would need to be doing almost 500M in the US for that, and that IS NOT happening.

As a fan of hers since the beginning (The Way) I've been saying for the past 4-5 years that she would really do great things in her thirties! I knew she would take a career turn for the better (not that it wasn't going great as it was, but ya know) but boy is this quite the MOMENT!

I really hope she (and Cynthia because WOW) get's that Oscar nomination. That alone would be a MAJOR win for Ari.

Word of mouth at my office is amazing! :jonny: I never hear them talk about pop culture events - at least, not since Taylor released - since most of them are in their 40s-60s but on our calls yesterday and today they were all talking about how good it was, recommending others to see it, and bringing up the singalong shows coming later

I was just sitting there like

My 36 years old co-worker had booked tickets for her and 3 friends of hers but they all caught the flu last weekend, she said they're going to go anyway so that's double tickets sold, the witches spreading the flu for that double income:jonny6:

It's scary how fast misinformation spreads today with the truth coming out later but never getting a fraction of the reach. The reports of what the cast earned were literally based on nothing. All those TikToks with zero sources. :rip: Anyone reasonable could have told you they weren't paying Ariana 15x as much as Cynthia. We need more media literacy and critical thinking in this society.

Saw someone call Glinda a puppet of the state and I had to give it a like

Glinda telling all of munchkinland that elphaba was conceived out of wedlock was a little unnecessary… Your old bestie just died and your spilling her tea to everyone

Did the governor even know??
