Priti Patel will now have a choice: to stand up for journalism and democracy, or sentence a man to life for exposing the truth about the War on Terror.

Hmmmm, I wonder which one she'll choose.

A consequence of journalism is not illegally being placed in jail. I imagine you're glad America has faced no consequences for its war crimes and genocides?

Unfortunately the GP don’t really know of these sort of things so governments can go about them with little to no backlash. Even if people did speak out, they would stop caring/focus on something else months later. We have a lot of power as a collective but it seems like we’re brainwashed to not care about things that actually matter.

I have no love for Assange, but what has happened to him has been sickening.  Super ashamed that Australia is not doing more to help one of our citizens.

Boris! Boris! Boris! :clap3:

One more term! One more term! One more term!

Assange really thought…
We want the chair for this one.

He deserves nothing less for his crimes.

Snowden, you’re next! I hope you enjoy your sanctioned life in Russia in the meantime.

Honey, hacking into gvt computer & stealing classified files is a crime.

it’s one thing if it fell on ur lap & someone sent it to u.

its another thing to participate in the hacking.

A journalist is not above the law. He  just can’t break into someone’s house because: journalism

I am not sure why some think the UK should care about the backlash.

Their relationship with the US  >>>>>>>>>>>> heir relationship with the rest of the world anyway. :hughard:
