There's one more LGBT related content on their channel, two Ukranian gays going on a blind date! This was cute, I hope they are doing all well! I hope they make more videos about Ukranian LGBT culture, I just subscribed!

it started off so endearing and cute but then when he came out it was so awkward and weird :skull: kinda wish they hadn't posted it

AskGayBros and GayBros redditors need to watch this video tbh so they can be more realistic regarding coming out to their (conservative) family :sistrens:

@ZIVERT @nasa @Flomik which one of y'all was this?

(Avoid reading replies and go straight on top to the first video to not see any spoilers to her reaction)

@Bloodflowers.Honestly, it's not shocking :cries: I don't know why, but I had hope she would have a better reaction and then she made the comment about girls and I knew that she was hopelessly ignorant about it. His voice and his demeanor gives away the fact that he's obviously gay, but she really had no idea. It's sad and awkward to watch, but this is just the reality of older people in Ukraine (and I'd say Eastern Europe in general). She just has no understanding of what it means, and only sees it on TV as a Western buzzword. For example, my ex recently had to come out to two of his uncles because he had a traumatizing experience that put his life in danger, and HAD to come out. They were shocked, but of course still helped him. His one uncle - who I met while we were still together (and asked me if I had a girlfriend :skull:) - who seemed very homophobic didn't have as bad of a reaction as I thought. They sat down and talked about it, and he explained that my ex was the first real gay person he ever met in his life. And to be careful, and not to mention it to his cousin, because his cousin is VERY homophobic. And after that, they don't talk about it. I think that would be considered a GOOD reaction, which may be shocking to people not from more traditional backgrounds.

But she does seem loving and caring before this confession, so I have hope that they will be able to talk it out and maybe she'll come to terms with it. The fact that she said she still loves him says a lot, she just needs to process it and become more educated. If she truly loves him, they can work on it. But tbh, it was kind of unfair for them to do that on camera :skull:
