Hector Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 (edited) Geffen’s Olivia Rodrigo probably benefited most, as she continued her record-breaking with three on-camera wins and an evocative performance that officially introduced her to the couch-dwelling populace of TV Land. This just as her sizzling-hot, sold-out first headlining tour gets underway—often involving multiple nights at 5k-7k-cap venues—with new managers Aleen Keshishian and Zack Morgenroth at the tiller. It’s still absolutely mind-boggling that her SOUR, released less than a year ago (5/21, to be precise) and debuting with 265k, has done 9.5m ATD worldwide. Interscope’s Kendrick Lamar has created mondo anticipation for his new set, which will be his final release via TDE; the forecast for that set is in the vicinity of 350k. Kendrick’s 2017 set DAMN. bowed with 603k, more than half of that from sales. (It’s reached 11m ATD worldwide). His forthcoming release will almost certainly spur an equally intense level of consumption, but overwhelmingly on the DSPs. Case in point: Jeffrey Azoff-repped Harry Styles, whose Coachella performances provided a fresh reminder of his electrifying presence, will drop his new Columbia album on 5/20 in the wake of a smash single that remains one of the world’s top-streaming songs as of this writing. The forecast for new set Harry’s House, which will have vinyl day and date, is 350k. His giant Fine Line debuted with 478k in 2019 and has amassed 9m ATD worldwide. https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=331140&title=NEAR-TRUTHS%3A-CHECKING-THE-STATS Huge numbers for all of them Edited April 25, 2022 by Hector
Sweet Sexy Savage Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Just 11m for DAMN.? That’s surprising to me especially bc more people publicly support Kendrick’s music and is more well known than Olivia
Cloröx Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Both Kendrick and Harry set to debut with 350k oh wow wow wow

I guess for Harry they might have the pre-order numbers so far but for Kendrick they must just be spitballing.
AM98GJ Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 Surely Harry will build on Fine Line's 478K...streaming alone he's x4 so far

Luckitty Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 9.5M in less than a year who's doing it like her
UnusualBoy Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 11m for Damn? Isn't it like 3x-4x platinum in the US? Where did all the other 8 million come from?

Yeah that number is a bit peculiar but you gotta take into account AM, which he's like the biggest artist on. I feel like he's at 6M in the US, and 5M from the rest of the world could make sense. His recurrent streams are still good.
Green Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I wish the IFPI gave SPS numbers because I don't trust HDD worldwide numbers
KeirGrey Posted April 25, 2022 Posted April 25, 2022 I was like there's no way Fine Lines is behind Sour, then i checked Sours spotify numbers Even like the worst song has nearly 200m

So yeah, these numbers seems accurate.
