Most of the episode was kinda slow (Daemon as always, Alicent on a side quest to obtain a Folklore skin) and finally the last 10-15min were good.

I can't wait to see what's next for S3 if they really snatch the throne and kill Aemond and Cole, what could be the plot for next season? I know that they have one or two more planned but honestly I don't feel like it's still too engaging and they are stretching the plot, hopefully the show ends with the next one.

OUUUUUU AEMOND DON'T MAKE THAT FACE :clownny:

I think I'm one of the few who doesn't mind Daemon's time in Harrenhal. A lot of the early seasons of GoT had people spend the entire time in one location and it made for some of the best character development.

Daemon is the most interesting character of the series so far.

GREAT episode. Daemon and Oscar's scenes were so good and so was Daemon's vision. Hopefully his redeeming journey is over now and he finally goes back and serve his queen as he always should've done. Oscar was giving major Lyanna Mormont with his c*nty behavior, we stan! :clap3:

Rhaenyra's scenes were also really solid, especially the speech to the small folk. The dragon claiming sequence was incredible, Vermithor was clearly over it but even him was gagged by Hugh's bravery, stance and dominance :WAP:

Ulf's claiming of Silverwing was cute but kinda random, it's like they had to get the scene over as soon as possible. Him flying over King's Landing was funny, kinda proving to his friends he made it (even if they couldn't see him and he probably didn't even believe it himself).

Aemond's face was CRACKED and GOOPED when he spotted the three dragons, he really thought he had it easy with that big old dragon munching hag. No ma'am honey, not this time

Alicent's scenes went nowhere this episode, I don't get what was the point. Aegon looks a mess and miss Larys is wearing him OUT but I kinda feel bad for him. Just a little bit.

I can see where Jace is coming from but he can stay pressed. He's not even getting close to that throne unless they win the war.

Now, THIS is what I call a great episode, every scene was good.

I can't believe next week will be the last episode before we'll have to wait 2 years before season 3... :weeps:

The last scene with Queen Rhaenyra and the dragons emerging one by one, was perfection!

Ugh, another 2 year wait will be frustrating, but at least we'll have A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms to keep us busy next year. I wish we got a spin off of Yi Ti to see more asian fantasy on tv, but I doubt the higher ups on HBO would care to invest a lot on expanding the franchise to a nation most people haven't heard.

Right, especially with season 2, but I guess having a bigger cast made things more interesting? I haven't rewatched the show since it ended, so I don't remember things clearly, but I do know Brienne and other characters had a lot of walking around in the books

I don't think it will take two years for season 3 this time since they're going to be filming very soon. I'm betting on 18 months max.

But yeah literally Brienne, Jaime, Arya, Podrick, Tyrion spend a lot of time traveling but they had great character interactions and development in those first 4 seasons.

Apart from the dragons on S2 of HotD, Daemon's plot is the most interesting to me. I think the problem is that many other characters aren't being developed with the same care and just going through the motions, so it makes Daemon's storyline seem "slow" when in fact he's getting the most development.

Very soon? D'Arcy has a stint on the West End until the end of the year so the earliest they can start is early 2025

I think you're right. I think what I read was about the script writing

I thought the episode of was solid, but not as good as I was expecting after the hype.

Spoiler

Cannot believe they are seemingly cutting Nettles, one of the few canonically PoC characters in GRRM's universe :deadbanana2:
