The way I stanned Ari and Rih so hard half a decade ago but now I’d put Taylor 2nd behind Beyoncé  Folklore her power! I still LIVE for Rih’s discography and her hits are far better/more remembered than anyone else but I just don’t consume her albums in full and a lot of songs have either lost magic or just aged a bit (Beyoncé obviously does suffer from this in the 00s but her second half is soooo strong)

 

Ari just… when it hits it hits hard but positions happened and idk anymore

Rihanna and Selena have two of the best singleographies out of this generation, and Kylie and Cher have two of the best overall. None of the four are really considered “album artists,” which is why I’m making the distinction. Their catalogs of hits HIT, even if their overall catalogs don’t.

The other girls are more mixed except for Katy who only has one good album

Out of the girls listed, I'd rank them as:

 

Taylor- a bit basic overall, but definitely the most consistent.

Gaga- Imo the only true misfire of hers was Joanne

Bey- Lemonade is arguably the highest high, but IASF is a huge low and I've never liked DIL that much

Ariana- Basically only getting better with her career

Adele- consistent but basic as hell and 25 is crazy bland, 19 is fantastic though

Rih- Loud and Anti are great albums, the rest is pretty take it or leave it

Katy- most of her music just isn't that good and OOTB is her only strong front-to-back album

 

And Gaga/Bey's placements are pretty interchangeable and depends on my mood. Both have great overall discographies with some huge highs and 1/2 albums that are clearly below the rest

Katy and Ariana: obviously and easily the worst discographies - for sheerly horrible (K) and/or bland (A) music

 

MID

Rih and Gaga: some duds (R) and/or misses (G), but too many great songs / pop contributions to be lower

 

TOP

Bey and Taylor: most consistent output spanning the largest number of genres. Not everything perfect, but these ladies make ALBUMS

 

Idk where to rank Adele. 21 might be above everything else, but the other albums only pull her down
