Lol Dua is the only one of the four to have the #1 single of the year and its still charting. Sometimes people make sense but you don't so delete this post. 

 

If anyone calls the most consumed song on all metrics for the year non organic then I guess a song like "Rain on Me" is the biggest organic smash ever.

They’re both Rih’s daughters. But I think Dua will have a longer run than Katy if that’s what you’re implying. As for Ari, she definitely inherited Rih’s hitmaking and versatility.

rih and ariana do feel similar career wise, but katy was known for #1s at her peak while dua can't even get one

No. A good portion of Rihanna’s hits actually crossed over well into HAC audiences, so there was some cross-generational familiarity. Ariana has a lot of cute hits but they largely stood in their pop-radio realm, and aren’t known by people over 30. Meanwhile even soccer moms knew Umbrella,  Only girl in the world, Stay, LOTB, etc.

Also, while I agree Dua is the closest thing we have to a Katy, it can’t be ignored that by her 2nd era Katy had a SLEW of universally-recognized #1 smashes while Dua is still fighting for her 1st.
