And what's frightening is that they're mostly women and they somehow believe he is a poor, innocent victim who has been solely on the receiving end of abuse. Let me not even talk about the outrageously insensitive Tik Toks and memes... some of them legit questioning what he did wrong by trying to have non-consensual sex with Amber. 

 

I don't understand what is causing this deep delusion in them. Depp looks like a corpse in 2022. Is it really that hard to move on from your 90s celebrity crush?

Honestly it boils down mainly to mysogny, herd mentality, and a smear campaign orchestrated by his PR team through social media and online tabloids.

Vogue posted an Opinion piece today which is surprisingly the only place I have seen the rhetoric that is at least neutral and not full of Johnny stans.
All of my irl gay friends even ones without social media are vehemently defending Johnny and I am so confused.
At this point I chalk my opinion down to actually being invested from the start and having a minor in Gender studies/Psychology and understanding how abuse, Patriarchy and the system works and is still working for abusers. 

It's really sad that a PR machine, Tiktok and a whole generation is sensationalizing and demoralizing victims and their stories making a mockery out of this.

Probably one of the most compelling parts of Mr. Tillett Wright's testimony. He heard Depp verbally and physically abuse Amber. Not as good as actually seeing the assault take place, but very compelling for the case. Depp, after all, has to prove he was never abusive, and this is very solid evidence he was:

Buuuttt, I also see why people are disliking Amber. She seems fake and definitely tried to ruin Johnny even further with her antics. You don’t need to be an “expert” to notice that.  She seems unstable and evil herself. 

Both are trash. But Johnny is not putting up an act and tries to hide it. 

That’s why this trial has been so damning for Amber. You can’t play the only victim when you’ve been abusive yourself.

What? It's the exact opposite. Depp is the one that can't admit to his mistake and has denied over and over ever hitting Amber, in spite of the overwhelming evidence that he did. He's the one putting up an act and pretending to be a poor victim and Amber an evil villain. Amber has admitted to her part in the violence in the relationship. The one that's incapable of recognizing his own faults is Depp.

This whole court isn’t only about who abused who, but also who’s lying the most. And Amber seems to be lying the most about stuff. Yesterday with the donations, she lied. She basicaly says all of Johnny witnesses are wrong, basically telling the court all of the witnesses are lying. 
 

again, I’m not pro Johnny. But Ambers act shouldn’t be blindly supported either. This woman seems deranged.
