Okay, and? For someone tired of us "repeating" ourselves, you sure have repeated this tired argument more times than you should have. 
The verdict does not influence my opinion as we all had the same access to the trial as the jury. I saw everything they were presented with and was able to form my own opinion, which is just as valid as theirs. It just so happens that their opinion has more influence than anyone else's.

She's being polite, but I disagree. I DO blame the jury. They had ONE job and they failed at it. They're a disgrace. Their terrible verdict will reverberate for years to come and make it harder for survivors of domestic abuse to come forward, and make it more tempting for abusers to sue their victims in hope they can sway a dumb jury. On top of that, they didn't give a f-ck about the freedom of speech, because even if taken at face value, Amber's statements weren't defamatory and were protected speech. But they didn't care about any of that.

If my husband would beat me I would focus on that abuse and try to prove that. I would definitely not try to create new made up abuse scenario's that I can't prove. Amber tried and she lost. 

 

Example:

 

A husband hits his wife. That's bad. That makes him a wife beater.

If the wife goes to the police and tells the police her husband beat AND raped her. But the rape thing actually never took place.

 

Wouldn't this make the wife evil as well?

He lied just as much, but that’s all irrelevant to the case.

 

He sued her for defamation for saying she experienced domestic abuse. Her statement would be factually true even if he only hit her ONCE, which you just said he probably did, therefore, her statement was NOT defamatory as it was factual, and thus he has no case.
